I was about 20 then, and the other gentleman was about 32 training in there 6 years longer than me. When the match started, I was bouncing around while he remained very still coiled like a snake. Every time I lunged in to attack, he was able to counter easily. After 3 mins, I was starting to get exhausted, then he was on the offensive, and I had a hard time defending. After about 4 good shots [3 body / 1 head], I had to think of something fast. So I started to drop my guard, hoping he would go for my open spots. He did, and I blasted him with the classic boxing 1-2 combo, and he didn't want to continue the match.

Experience is good to have as a fighter, but against an opponent who is random [or just crazy], it would boil down to who is faster and stronger.
Does anyone feel different? Let me know.

um yeah you have no idea what yur talking about , because it depends on age, mentality , mind-set , experience ,enviroment , etc etc ,who is to say that you would not have won if you werent clear in thought that day . believe me , i know 60 year olds , who can mope the floor with a 20 or 40 year old , i prefer experience . mentality and good perception determine yur ability to be a good fender or not , its not a mater of being young or older . some young people are fast and strong but horrible when it comes to technique and forum . others are different, the question is too vague and has toooooo many variables to say who would win ultimately . im 21 and ive come across 40 year olds that are better then me and vice versa, it depends so dont generalize man

Knowing no other variable, I would chose an experienced fighter. But i agree alot comes into play when choosing a victor or favorable outcome.
