I am 19. And right now...I be working on a Plant Biology lab for my class tomorrow, which sucks balls. I have never had any interest in Brophytes and Lichens before this...and I doubt I ever will.

Would be a cool job though, lichen farmer. Harvest every 10 years. Bout up to my speed.

Did your "sensei" tell you that?

You see people can "roll with a punch" whereas a board cannot. Also people can wait for your probably heavily-chambered "tamishiwara" attack and can (as my Sifu say) trap... and punch. And I'm sorry but I practice hitting people not boards as do most real fighters.

Hey Greenthinks if you ever swing by London, Canada I'll show you Kung Fu guys who DO train full contact. We exist.

WELL DO YOU GO FULL CONTACT WHEN YOU USE YOUR SPEARS AND SWORDS ?

DO YOU GO FULL CONTACT WHEN YOU POKE AT EACH OTHERS EYES?

DO YOU PRACTICE KICKING EACH OTHER IN THE HEAD FULL CONTACT?

But Everybody Has The Same Problem, That Is The Fine Line That Seperates Effective Training And Hurting Your Training Partners.
That Will Tel;l You The Value Of A Teacher Is Their Degee Of Gentleness. Any School That Hurts Its Students Won't Retain Enough To Pay The Bills.
I Think Also That Is The Ultimate Skill Level For A Martial Artist Is His/ Her Degree Of Gentleness.

You Haven't Mastered A Technique If You Cannot Control Its Degree Of Effectivness.

                  • Greek one, do you break someones arm when applying an armbar, do you crush someones windpipe when you apply a choke?
you could but you don't, so you are also not completely full contact.

Which proves your point about The Fine Line That Seperates Effective Training And Hurting Your Training Partners ( or opponents in a match for that matter)

Though for each style/school the line is thin, if you look at Martial Arts in General, it is a rather wide line
For some a bloody nose is already unacceptable while for others knocking someone out cold during training isn't

It is as it is in the real world where some countries would never let their soldier do certain things and would sue a soldier that supposedly shot someone ( no post mortum was done) whilst other countries would let their soldiers commit genocide ( first is my country, second, pick one)
The lower the morality, the easier it seems to be to deal with opponents

Now most of us here are doing sports and in sports, the line may be thin but it is bright red after you crossed it

I have already been thru this several times. If you don't believe me fine....but your belief(or disbelief) does not make the techniques any less real or any less effective...

If you train kung fu full contact then your techniques obviously are not very effective. May be that is why you dont believe in tameshiwara or dim mak. Because your ineffective sifu is teaching you ineffective techniques and telling you that all of the real and effective techniques are just myths and legends...May be you should consider this if you are really serious about martial arts.

Yeah my school does not encourage hurting of students. So my brother and I just hurt each other in the comfort of our own home to stress test techniques.

Can you elaborate on tamishiwara??? The only info I've found on it says it's "breaking". That can mean alot of things.

I wouldn't worry about people stealing your secrets from a brief description on the net, if they can do that then they are some bad MFs
