hahahah whats your beef man? lol, All I'm doing is speaking my opinions from my training, my style is the easiest way to get it done is the best way to get it done. I posting my thoughts on the easiest way to get it done, shooting on a big guy when your a guy my size, 5'9'' 152 lbs, isn't the easiest way to take him down. Locking up and using judo, or using speed, level changes, and clinch fighting to get his back is the easiest way. So when I say don't shoot on a bigger guy because your not going to take him down, I guess I mean to say it's not the easiest way to get it done... sorry if my generalized statements get on your nerves...
Seems like I'm one of the few that think double-legs work the best. If you got both their legs, they're going down 9/10ths of the time. Who cares if they try a headlock..at least then you know where their hand is. Its not easy to sprawl when both your legs are tied up by someone trying to take you down. It works, but it's not easy. Of the choices listed, this is the most effective.

I'd prefer to step on a person. Step on their shin, or step on their foot and hit them. Hook my foot inside their foot and move forward knocking them over with my knee (My knee against theirs using leverage), or hook my foot on the outside of theirs and again use my knee to knock them down. This way I can control their legs while keeping my guard up. Stepping on someones foot and punching them in the face usually puts them down. Even if they guard or try to move, a lot of people will still fall down because they are not used to having their foot controlled like that. Depending on how the person is standing, there is always an angle where they have no balance and a simple push is enough to off-balance them. Combine that with foot locking or stepping on their foot and they will usually fall...or become unbalanced enough to easily take down.

Foot steps work great with an arm drag too, you might catch one to the cheek but it's not going to be more of an impact to you than the throw will be to them when they hit the ground. just remember to go down with them or the arm drag with the foot step doesn't work as well. My dad used the armdrag with the foot step allot when he wrestled in college.

1) If you let someone step on your foot in a wrestling match, you are a scrub.
2) If you arm-drag someone all the way to the mat, they are either drunk or a total fish.
where do you get off dude? just because some techniques don't work for you doesn't mean they don't work for everyone. I can arm drag people really well, maybe you can't.

I have to agree with you Jubaji. I used arm drags alot in HS and college but the drag itself is more a setup than a finishing move. If someone is going to the mat from just an arm drag they are weak or a fish

If the guy is bigger than you normal wrestling shots don't work because of front headlocks without an arm. Plus the guys natural weight and instincts are going to make him sprawl or rip you to one side or the other. What I've found to be most effective are clinch pops to belly to back suplex or tie up with a body lock and leg drag or hook behind the leg and go forward. Some hip tosses work too if you have a headlock in on your oppent ( w/ and arm or without).
I would have to disagree as well. Even with a 50lb difference if the shot is precise and tight the front headlock should not be an issue. Also, I have to say the the headlock is THE easiest move to avoid, I used to love people trying to do that to me ...just pop the elbow and you are home free. But maybe I am confused, if you think shooting is ineffective against a heavier oppnent why would you tie-up with someone heavier and try a suplex or are you saying in general if you were going to throw someone it would be a suplex.
As a side note the 115lber in HS actually pinned the HW who was not a scrub. True wreslters weight is never an issue

Exactly. Arm drags are one of my favorites, but if you can drag someone all the way to the mat its just fish city! I don't think that anyone pulls off an arm drag with such an unrealistic intention anyway.
