Actually, I beleive the research to which you allude was performed at Cambridge, not Harvard. Daniel Dennett of MIT has explained the nature of cognition with regard how we process spelling (correct or otherwise) in Consciousness Explained. Regardless, it must have stung you to take a dry retort so personally. Do you have nothing better to do than scream abuse at those of us who take the time to differentiate between the possessive and the contraction, and to use the apostrophe correctly?
Do you not use the written word in your work? And if such errors would be unacceptable at work, why do you not extend the forum the same courtesy? Or are we lesser beings in your eyes?
Well lookie here Herschel, it's a smart aleckie city boy!
Does that count as a drug? Because it sure seems like one. I have cut back a lot, but I still can't resist the good stuff like Godiva.
Hmmmm... a form of chocolate I have never tried! Gotta get me some of them cacao nibs!
Actually, chocolate (or more accurately, cacao) hsa been linked to endorphine production, so eating chocolate stimulates the pleasure centres of the brain. In that sense, chocolate could be regarded as good for you... but it's also fattening. For every silver lining...

First don't make me out to be someone who thinks they are better than everyone else. Especially with your condesending posts. Second I am a laboror so I don't have to write alot at work. Third apparently you think that YOU'RE better than everyone else if you go around correcting spelling.
If you have so much time on YOUR hands then go edit the posts that you've misspelled.
Or should everyone go around and find all YOU spelling errors and point them out.
And YOUR "dry retort" had nothing to do with a serious conversation 2 adults were having.
So if all you have to say to me is spelling corrections then do me a favor put me on ignore and continue to live in the magical land of dumbass.

This post sounds like you wrote it while furiously thumbing through a thesaurus. Just because you can use a bunch of big words doesn't mean you should; it really doesn't make you look any smarter. If you're going to stick around you really need to come down off your high horse and take your thumb out of your ass because this pseudo-intellectual bullshit is annoying as hell.
