When the obvious conclusion is survival it only makes sense to have the right tool for the job...
This thread is at least entertaining in a "one hand clapping" sort of way...

I would chunk the gun and give him the knife to make it fair and so he would have somewhat of a chance against me..

i think i won this one fair and square, you didnt actually have an arguement anyway.Originally posted by jubaji View PostYeah, then you'd have a chance of winning an argument!
other than my clip didnt illustrate fun defense up close when i was trying to show the implications of range.

it illustrates my point, that the gun is effective at range. no matter what you do you wont stop it. even if the guy ran, hed get shot.Originally posted by jubaji View PostBecause the guy in the movie was standing several yards away doing a flashy demo with his sword before he was killed. You figure out the rest.
and stop 'quoting' yourself in your sig. Its embarrasssing.
also, this is an internet forum, if i was seriously quoting myself id have used my real name. deal with it.

That's a bad example, and don't quote yourself in your sig; that's weak.Originally posted by Ghost View Post
anyone remember the bit in indiana jones when the guy swings a sword about and indiana just looks around, pulls his gun out and shoots the guy?

this is probably the worst question that has been asked on this forum.
how many times have people had it drilled into their heads that if you go against a knife you are likely to get cut and if you go against a gun you are likely to get shot, especially if you cant reach the guy.
yet all of a sudden so called martial artists are thinking 20 years of something will give them a better chance than a gun or knife. get real.
what is it guys, you cant have it both ways.

In this analogy, thats me with the gun, and you are the other guy, except you dont even have the sword.
