  • New Bruce Lee book...

There is a new Bruce Lee book that will be released tomorrow.

I haven't seen it yet but it looks interesting.

"Never before revealed stories, commentary and observations of Bruce Lee and Joe Lewis by Gene LeBell, Bob Wall, Ted Wong, Danny Inosanto, John Korab, Mike Stone, Jhoon Rhee, Joe Hyams"

    Here's the link:

Mousel's Self-Defense Academy and Mousel's Mixed Martial Arts Academy are martial arts organizations dedicated to the promotion of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do Concepts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Thaiboxing (Muay Thai), Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW), Filipino Martial Arts, Boxing, Reality-Based Self-Defense (RBSD) and Women's Self-Defense through seminars, and instructional DVDs. We're located inside O Athletik in the Heights, Houston, Texas.

I don't know about bookstores. You can also pay by mastercard, visa or discover by clicking here:

      Purchase by Credit Card

You'll be charged $24.95 plus $7.00 for shipping and handling for a total of $31.95.

When you get prompted about the security certificate click yes. The connection is secure. It prompts because the security certificate is not in my name but in the webhost name.

      Thanks,

      Tim

Actually, I've known about this book for some time... Unfortunately, I believe this book is yet another attempt to cash-in on the Bruce Lee mystique. It would make more sense if Joe Lewis wrote a book about techniques he has learned over the years to make himself a champion. Afterall, Lewis has said on numerous occassions that Lee was complementing, not mentoring him.

I respect Joe Lewis as a martial artist and pioneer... He was truly the first great American kickboxer. However, I think a lot of things he has said in the past regarding Bruce Lee contradicts the purpose of this book.

That's definitely a possibility pstevens. Hopefully the stories and commentaries by all the others that had trained with Lee will make it a interesting, worthwhile book.

            Tim,

Very true... I'm a Bruce Lee, as well as Joe Lewis and Gene Labelle fan, so in that regard, I'm sure I'll get a copy just to gain further insight into these "Legends." Furthermore, I don't doubt the validity or quality of the book, I just feel that by it's marketing strategy has misleading implications. But that's just my thought coming from a Marketing background.

Amazing how much new material a dead guy can generate. I have heard that the Shredder was created by Lee channeling through Dimitri.
