Oh, I do. I'm quite upfront.

I'm still young and single, but aware of the trend to get married "just because." People my age (late-college) do it all the time and end up just like you suggest.....its crazy stuff, but it even changes as they (divorced) get older.

I've been told that a man in his 50's and a woman in her 40's are in their real prime (allthough you can debate the definition of prime).

A man in his 50's has accquired enough wealth and experience that he can whisk by carefree and is therefore most attractive to women, especially super model 20 year old types; a woman in her 40's has developed a real sex drive and isn't afraid to use it on a 20 something guy hitting his peak......

Not saying I ethically agree with this at all, but this is what I've been told from experienced friends at the pubs. I definitely believe that you should carefully choose your mate and for all the right reasons. Timing has to be right too.

Amount of time I spend on sex a day is under an hour. Amount of time spent doing other husbandly things and the father gig 24 hours. It's not the sex that makes a relationship work but the partnership that's being a family. I've been married for close to 25 years. My wife is 41 and looks 31 so I guess I have the best of both worlds. And she used to be a model. Lucky me!

Good list Ryu, but I don't have any short comings so I'll skip number 4!

I'm lucky all because I listened to a little old Jewish lady on who to marry. Told me to get rid of my girl friend at the time because she was spoiled and take up with the one that became my wife. Said she could tell she had a good heart. Well the girl friend got rid of me before I could get rid of her. I recently found a picture of my old GR on the net, she got fat!

Haw haw haw! I don't know about the US, but in England gay people arr sometimes referred to as "camp", even in their own community. I don't think the term is offensive to them.

But I bet it is to Sammy Campo!

Most likely preoccupied with some sort of rejected sexual fixation about one of his close relatives. His aggressive "alpha male" image, which is clearly something he's trying all too hard to get everyone around him to believe, seems to me more like a denial of some latent homosexual desires or tendencies. His seeming disdain for women would certainly support these assumptions, since it is generally coupled with an overt urge to show other men how he feels they should behave. I think this person is a repressed homosexual, and he could probably use some real therapy.

I laughed so hard that I seriously cramped and got a headache. I am currently working on my Master's in social psychology, and I might go so far as to make Mr. Franco a case study based on this!
Thats hilarious! You should als get this guy to do a report on the Shinobi22 dude. Have him look at all the stuff Shinobi has posted and give us a report. That phsycology man is the best. He is also very inteligent.

Have you seen the thread now? Some guy (new of course) has come on saying "if the Widowmaker is good enough for the police, I'm getting one!" Jus to make things extra "realistic" he has edoted a previous post saying "srry! my kid got on the computer"....

Yeah right. Sammy Campo is posting yet again as someone else. He is the saddest, campest guy in the RBSD community.

This is no hoax. Widowmaker works and anyonbe who thinks this is crap has no idea what they are talking about. to the guy Sammy banned, you are full of shit. You sound like all the law enforcement officials who questioned me when I was writing my statement about the incident. You are no expert, you are typical puppet of the beauracratic process.

I am on the street everyday and practice what Sammy teaches. Last week I was on the ground fighting in the street. These things may not happen in the pristine areas most of you guys work, but in the inner city this happens regularly.

Doubt it, walk a mile with me.
The part "law enforcement officials who questioned me when I was writing my statement about the incident" doesn't sound "cop like". My dad was a cop, his friends were all cops so I grew up hearing cops talk. My cop friends don't talk like that. I could be wrong but that just doesn't sound like "cop".

Mike, are you going to take Tommy up on his offer of walking a mile with him? Even that doesn't sound very "cop" like. Ride with me, patrol with me, walk my beat with me, yes. Walk with me, I don't know.

Like a putz I read the Olympic TKD thread and read this
I watched some Taekwondo at the Olympics. It's sad how a martial art can be degraded into a ballet match. The players fight with their hands dangling to their sides (no need to block, since you can score even if you just touched your opponent). No punching (only body shots are allowed). Players keep falling while trying to execute kicks. Many points are scored during counter attacks, which causes many players to wait for their opponent to attack first.

In short - everything Sammy says NOT TO DO!!! (yea, I know many will say that in the street these guys will fight differently, but that's BS!)
Wonder what Sammy would say about high jumping as a street effective art.

Wow what the hell happened to Franco over the last year that turned him this way? He used to be a real cool guy a few years back and his materials were good to but now he just seems to rip people off (JKD, Senshido, Blauer) and its a piss poor copy too. Anyone know what drove him to this?

                        Sales probably.
The business side of the Martial Arts industry is a hideous bitch goddess.

Sales? You've got to be kidding me? You think his sales have increased since? His reputation went to the dogs and he's being chastisized on every martial art forum out there there's no way his sales increased, as a matter of fact I have read countless posts of people saying that they wouldn't ever buy another product from him. I'm leaning more towards the latent homosexuality and I'm not kidding or trying to be insulting either. His hatred of women, his macho male warrior virtue crap etc. all tends to lean towards that. Did some woman recently dump the almighty Franco?

When I said sales I meant that his sales have DECREASED. So he's trying to up the sales by using this "unleash the male archetype" thing.

But Mike is correct in saying that there's lots of non-martial art people who would buy into it.

I think Sammy Franco should expand his business to include break dancing and pie making.....

Yeah, I think he's posted here a few times. The more you guys talk about his bashing women, accusations of steroids and homosexuality I remember some trolls doing this routine.

Mike the commercial school is a two edged sword. A friend of mine went from a succesfull school in a health club to a full-time school and is doing great. Only problem he had was trying to stay really true to the old hard knocks style of training we did. That's gone and the school has gotten bigger and now he has to worry about keeping the students. He tried offering a night of training the old way for us old timers. When the new students dropped in the first night and we started bare knuckle sparring the looks on their faces was hilarious. Bloody knuckles, ripped gi and bruises in abundance but that was just us old timers. He closed that class down 3 weeks later because a mom heard about that night and didn't think it appropriate for her baby boy to be associated with a school that did that.

"unleash the male archetype", good one Ryu. Sammy is trying to unleash something. Picture of big Sam in the alley. Big Sams big car.
