  • I am Bruce Lee's Original Teacher

LOL, now that I have your attention...........why do so many people claim to be students of Bruce Lee when they can go for the gusto and claim to be his teacher. LOL.....I'm just clowning and goofing off today but on a serious note, Chuck Norris and William Chueng claim to be teachers of Bruce Lee. Besides Yip Man, how many teachers did Bruce really have?

I assure you this thread is merely a coincidence. Happy Birthday Bruce..........( singing Stevie Wonder Version)

I am hardball's original teacher. Also, I wrote the book of five rings and tore an arm from Grendel then later took it's head as a trophy.

I really like the book Grendel. It's written from the perspective of the monster.

          Gregi, you jerk.

Oh, sorry. I got the e-mail from some guy in China, so yesterday was today, or something.

Is that a coincidence---Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee born on the same day and both from Seattle.

Not to mention both dead, before anyone got the chance to work out if either really 'were all that'.

Jimi Hendrix served in Vietnam as an Airborne Ranger but his claim to fame was bringing Hippies joy during the Peace and mind expanding 60's. He brought them joy with his guitar like so many other Hippies of the 60's and 70's Man, it was nothing like having a Buzz and listening to Hendrix play his guitar. Hits like Machine Gun, Purple haze and Foxy Lady were cult classics.

For those who have never been to Seattle; you gotta visit in the summer time. Light drizzles every other day but beautiful sunny days and lots of beautiful scenery.

If 6 was 9, Gypsy Eyes and Little wing are probably my 3 favorites from him but I don't think he ever made a song I didn't like.

No worries, but it's an interesting parallel.
Jimi was (according to media) cutting edge for the day, as was Bruce.
You can't help but wonder how either of them would be regarded 30/40 odd years on after they died?

Would Jimi stand up to Dimebag Darrel of Pantera?
Would Bruce stand up to (insert UFC champion of choice)?

                              Snapshots in time.

Who knows where we'd be if they hadn't been around?
