Remember Alexander Karelin - he was the greatest Greco-Roman wrestler of all time and I remember watching videos of him running in the Siberian snow. He was Russian, not Kung Pao. I think Russia is the type of place where if you aren't tough, you tend to get your ass kicked one way or another.
What the hell is this crap?!?!?!

Bruce would probably pepper him with punches and kicks like someone hitting a cement wall just before Fedor finally crushed him.

    fedor would win

Here are the reasons Fedor would win:

    1. Bruce didn't compete like Fedor did. People around the world regularly try to kill Fedor in the ring, and if they do they will receive hundreds of thousands of dollars - that's a powerful incentive.

    2. If Bruce could fight without rules, Fedor could learn to fight without rules too. In a no holds barred fight, Fedor would win.

    3. I imagine Bruce could not fight nearly as well as Fedor on the ground.

    4. Fedor is much stronger.

    5. How do we know Bruce can take a hit? Bruce could not knock Fedor out easily. Cro Cop is more powerful than Bruce ever was and I think Cro Cop would knock Bruce out. Bas Rutten would knock Bruce out. Brock Lesnar would destroy Bruce.

    6. Fedor is Russian. Bruce is Chinese. Come on.

    7. The proper question is how would Bruce fare in his own weight class? I think he would be above average, but I am not convinced he would even be the best in his own weight class.

Btw, knowing that word doesn't make the person less or more intelligent. It would suggest it, but one could, perhaps stumble opon it.

My intelligence isn't what's in question my smartass friend*insert wink here*.

I don't know you well enough to judge what you meant, and the context was not so clear as to offer a blatant, specific attachment of the word.

Or, we could just know it before you said it! I'll take that option lol.

I do however, wonder what you are reffering to? The thread itself? Or a specific post?

Now...if you're saying would Bruce in his prime fight Fedor in his prime. Bruce would possibly take the challenge if it were truly no holds barred. One of Bruce's main weapons was the biu jee (ie., eye gouge) No way would he fight a guy Fedor's size without every option available, including joint manipulation, biting, etc.
Here's one of Bruce's original students, Ted Wong on Bruce:

Bruce always wanted to stay away from the martial arts being used as a sport. I think he tended to stay away from it as a sport because you could not fully utilize the art or its potential. It was not the ultimate martial art unless it was "anything *goes." Bruce wanted to practice an art that he could use. No holds barred, no holding back, anything goes- that was his philosophy. But I think today Bruce would also like the sport portion of martial arts because you develop speed, power and timing- things you can apply to sharpen your skills.

As far as no*holds*barred tournaments like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), I don't think Bruce would enter something like that. The UFC still has some limitations to it, even though they refer to it as ultimate fighting. There are still rules that say you can't do this or that. But I think as a test of your skills, Bruce would like it.

The problem is, (and this is why Judo is superior to traditional jiu-jitsu), is that "dirty techniques" cannot be tried and true, and are not trainable at 100% with resistance. So they cannot be fully relied upon. And that's putting the best face on it.

In a true fight of no rules, Fedor would easily crush Bruce.
