As for why I posed the question of whether to follow the original style's name when teaching techniques to someone else, it's because I'm not a qualified teacher, and I'm not teaching for money. I'm just teaching within my family, and despite me pushing them to go to an actual instructor, they refused. But they kept wanting a name to go with the style, and I just felt it was wrong to use the style's name since I'm not an actual instructor.

We're not sure how he used those things to fly, but we're pretty sure Chuck Norris's round kick had to play into it somewhere.
Yeah, and someone said he could leap up to the ceiling, and stick there too. It's wikipedia man. But nope, no mention of Chuck's super kick anywhere.

Yeah, I figured I'd have something witty to say by the time you got around to posting that. I don't.

I'm not too sure why you are so ready to bring the conversation to incest and pedophilia. I find people often try to turn a conversation to their own favorite subject whenever they have the opportunity - it's a common enough human trait. I'm not sure why that one is your personal choice.

    Twisted freak?

Probably so. But I don't share your "mommy fantasy" nonetheless. I think we use different search terms when we turn the safefilter off on google image search. Just a guess.

It was not so long ago that Jubaji sent me a PM that told me that if I gave you trouble on the Urban Combatives thread, you'd make a complete twat out of yourself, Mike. Something about you getting worked up as soon as anyone discounts firearms or talks about gun control. I could not really take the gun control route - because I think *everyone* should be allowed to have guns if *anyone* is allowed to have them. So I didn't want to take his advice, and use gun control. But still, he pretty much predicted your response perfectly. Something about "wildly misquoting" and "foaming at the mouth while punching your "WebTV" keyboard and shooting your auto-shotguns randomly skyward in a rage." ??

I mean, he didn't say it like that, because he's not half the writer I am. But that was the basic premise.

I don't disagree with you. But terminology can sure say a lot in a hurry when you want someone to adjust their motion.

I can show you that you keep dropping your right when you jab with your left by touching (or slapping) your face on the right side each time you do. And that works MUCH better than words - I can TELL someone, and they'll keep dropping. After I start touching (or slapping) their face, they stop very quickly.

But its hard for me to tell somone that the reasons his hooks are weak when he hits the opponent/bag is because he is dropping his elbow, or opening his arm too much.

I can't really say "Yay, someone will die at the feet of the muslims." I think that's a horrible thing. I think its horrible we are all separated and divided with religion and skin color and land of origin as the reason. How sad and poignant.

Nor can I really say "Yay, bombs!" Bombs kill everyone, not just combatants. Children, women, teachers, doctors, the infirm. Bombs kill everyone.

I can't really get too excited, happy, or worked up about that, either.

I really wish everyone who believes in war, and finds it a thing to celebrate, would have a private war somewhere else and just finish it.

Celebrate it all you want, then.

I'm sure, when its over, we'll celebrate, too. And we'll dance - we'll share food - we'll help each other build shelter - and we'll just quit competing in general.

A punch may be a punch, but terminology is useful for efficient communication.

Lee's phenomenal fitness meant he was capable of performing many exceptional physical feats. The following list are the physical feats that are documented and supported by reliable sources.

Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.

Lee could spring a 235lb opponent 15 feet away with a 1 inch punch.

Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film at 24fps, so many scenes were shot in 32fps to put Lee in slow motion. Normally martial arts films are sped up.

In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.

Lee could perform push ups using only his thumbs

Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.

Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.

Lee performed one-hand push-ups using only the thumb and index finger

    Lee performed 50 reps of one-arm chin-ups.

From a standing position, Lee could hold a 125lb barbell straight out.

Lee could break wooden boards six inches thick.

Lee performed a side kick while training with James Coburn and broke a 150-pound punching bag

Lee could cause a 300-lb bag to fly towards and thump the ceiling with a sidekick.

In a move that has been dubbed "Dragon Flag", Lee could perform leg lifts with only his shoulder blades resting on the edge of a bench and suspend his legs and torso perfectly horizontal midair.

Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened steel cans of Coca-Cola, at a time before cans were made of the softer aluminum metal.

Lee would use one finger to leave dramatic indentations on pine wood.
