JKD how your scool or your trainer sells ist is somekind of modern self defense with hits and body twisting, nothing else, and if you think you train "LEE´s" style and beat all the other styles, you better rent a casket the next day.

JKD is NO style, so what is it?.... it´s what Lee has called his art of Fighting, and everyone of us fights diffrent, so everyone got a diffrent "art of Fighting" (no style), a diffrent JKD (how most guys spell it)

Dan Inosanto said That he teaches the Concepts of Jeet Kune Do. That JKD was Bruce's idea. Even Bruce is known to have said JKD is just an idea a concept. If he had to classify it then we would say chinese in origin but the main focus each individual's take on the concepts. It is why Bruce quit teaching publically (because people mistook the idea for the gospel truth when offered in a class setting) So Here is my theory if Bruce's Protege: Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak (Dan's Protege) and Thomas C. Cruse all say it is just a series of ideas and concepts that we each apply in our own way and btw Dan was the man Bruce Lee chose to teach JKD to the world then I would say it safe bet that JKD is a concept.
