unusual fight strategy/mental game in self defense..opinions?

Instead of shouting "Spoon!!" you could use Arthur's battle cry of "Not in the Face!" There's another way of limiting your liability.

One of the things I like about Tony Blauer is that he's teaching in the context of a society that really frowns on using force for self-defense (Canada). Being Canadian and having done most of my training in Canada,it's interesting that almost none of my instructors have covered the legal implications of defending yourself other than the standard "Don't hang around afterwards for the cops to show up." Forget about carrying a knife for self defense.

Not a problem, in all seriousness the police academy watches out for guys who can't keep their cool. They'll be in your face a lot to see how you react to pressure. It's somewhat of a mix between bootcamp and college.
