Well his films weren't just "pure entertainment". He definitely had a motive for making them the way he did. Most of the reason was to introduce Chinese martial art, and portray the Chinese as a strong and heroic race. I think a lot of the "superman" type stuff he catches some slack for was because he purposely made his characters very strong and ferocious to downplay stereotypes he didn't like.

Quite frankly, I think he accidently started another one

Simple.
Train, Lift Weights,Don't take any steroids or muscle enhancers, do alot of stretching and get as flexible as humanly possible, stretch before, and after your work out, practice your skill, and most importantly, whatever you do, no matter how tired you are, GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU GOT, GIVE IT A 100%.(YOU CAN'T DO NO HIGHER, IF YOU DO THAT MEANS, YOU HAVE A NEW 100% PERCENT LEVEL. ALWAYS TRY TO GET STRONGER, AND FASTER, AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET BIG, DON'T EAT ALOT, EAT JUST ENOUGH. DON'T GO BACK FOR SECONDS AND THIRDS)

I DO THIS ALOT, AND I'M ONLY 15.

Oh and a little tip.....

When Working out on skill in tecniques, Give it a 100%. If you don't your moves will become sloppy and uneffective, which is not good in a fight. If you feel youself getting tired, you either need to take a little rest(I'm 15 so I have more energy so I don't need a rest. I train like Bruce Lee during the summer, and whenever I have time during the school year.)
But like I was saying....If you feel youself getting tired, you either need to take a little rest for about 2 mins, then continue your trianing at 100%, or change your training from skill in technique, to Stamina workout.(You do this without the 2 min rest.)

Really? What's your training schedule like? What excercises, how long, how much weight, how many hours a day, how many days a week?

I meant Train Like Bruce Lee as in not giving up, and giving it my all, not as far as weight and hours.

But if ya wanna know,

I'll tell ya!!!

Look in Fighting Method,2 basic traing, and Tao of JKD, And as far as hours, I go as long as my body will let me before my Mom calls me for dinner. Then alittle after dinner. I'll tell you the hours tomorow or add them up tonight.

I used to train 4 days a week with a split, Ten in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. A hell of a lot of bodybuilders do this even though it is an advanced technique and a waste of time for the average joe(like me).

Something like 4AD is shown to increase testosterone levels 3 to 5 times. Basically you need two things to keep you topped up so you dont overtrain and thats Glutamine and Testosterone. Keep those two high and you can train for hours on end without a hint of overtraining(you also have to have some size and experience though).

To sum things up.

Bruce was an ectomorph. That's what he's symototype was. Not an extreme ectomorph because he had a lot a muscle but about a 337.
You have also got to look at that he had a eating disorder as a kid.

Never the less Bruce Lee the greatest Martial Artist of the 20th century was amazing. He could kick but. He would of made toast of me. He was an example. How gives a toot about what we look like. We are all ugly beasts anyway.

i don't mean to be disrespectfull but to call some one the "greatist martial artist of the 20th century" no matter how good they were is IMHO a bit foolish.

So if this guy who can do press ups on two fingers and move faster than the eye can see wasnt the best martial artist of all time then who the hell is?

I mena if there was a martial artist better than Bruce Lee why og gods green earth isnt he famous? Martial arts has to do with the mind AND the body... so is a man with a strong mind knew he was better then Bruce Lee why is it that hes sittin at home instead of making movies?

Nowadays we got Jackie Chan, Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal making millions when they probably wouldnt be able to see Bruce Lee move.

Think about it

When is a another 'real martial artists' just like Bruce Lee was and hopefully be the next 'the greatest' go into the movie business...

I like special effects, but I think they are going too far with all the rope work and computer animations, example; Jet Li movies.

bruce lee was really toned, and toned ,muscles can be just as strong as bulky muscles in some situations. if i were training i'd like to toned just like him. Maybe a little taller. Strong as fast. As i say who cares about how strong you're if you can't touch anyone?

OK you religious fanatics. Bruce Lee was fast, strong for his size, founded his own martial art based on efficeincy etc. Then he died.

He was not an alien, he was not the son of god, he is not still alive working as a secret agent (most famous film start in china trying to be a secret agent? lol), he was not the greatest person who ever lived. We don't know whether he was the greatest martial artist of the 20th century because 1) How do you define "greatest"? and 2) He didn't prove himself to be the greatest. If "greatest" means "best at fighting" then Bruce Lee would have had to fight lots of other martial artists to prove that he was the greatest. He didn't. If by "greatest" you mean "most famous" then yes probably but how does being famous make you great?
