Since when the hell has Holyfield been a one-two punching heavyweight? Are you on drugs? If you are, get of them.

Ronin:
Huh? This guy may be as brash as I am, but his IQ is in the single digits, his wit non-existent, and his life-experience is that of a ... well, of a 20-year-old. Before you pass the "baton" make sure you clean it off for the guy as I am sure you have been sitting on it. On second thought, I think he will like it that way just fine ...
Colon Muncher:
I've seen Holyfield fight in the mid 80's ... which would make you about SEVEN years old back then. The man threw faster combos back then, and more of them ... unlike the lumbering shots (inbetween long breaks) that he does of late.
Please learn to shut up and respect your elders young man.
Yours truly,
Joe

Yes, the Holyfield AS OF LATE. Not the prime Holyfield. Watch the Bowe fights and Foreman fight. Watch the Michael Dokes fight, Watch the Bert Cooper fight. I can go on and on. Holyfield was one of the best heavyweight combination punchers in the 90's. Without a doubt.
And as for you saying I am only 20...blah...blah...blah. Well sorry I'm not an old, washed up, has been, old fart know-it-all asshole like yourself. By the time I'm your age, I plan on having a successful pro boxing carreer and not getting into pissing contest on the internet.

Evander definitely juiced ... and lifted too much ... and it hurt him more than it helped him IMO.
A little was a help (about the Dokes era) ... but he went too overboard with his physique and mass ... and got too big and too slow. 205 was his best heavyweight weight.
Yours truly,
Joe

Sorry Joe and Colonie but Holyfield never juiced. I have some friends that were in the Holyfield camp as sparring partners and they said he never once juiced. He had 2 conditioning coaches,a ballet coach,an aerobics instructor and a dietician. They said he trained outside of the gym about 4 hours a day. They also said how he had the greates eating habits and was the most dedicated fighter they have ever been around. How I came to know this was I also thought that Holyfield juiced. So I asked the people who would know.

Umm ... Tweety ...
He also had former Mr. Olympia Lee Haney as a weight trainer, LOL, and if you think the 'roid influence didn't rub off then you are entitled to your opinion
I am sure Holy's friends did *say* he wasn't juiced ... but this does not make it true. I used to bodybuild before I boxed - and did 'roids myself, saw tons of others "make the change," and I recognize well their effects.
Can you say ... W-A-T-E-R ... R-E-T-E-N-T-I-O-N ... ?
Holy's muscles went from lean and flat to swollen and bloated (as did his gut at times). That and even his hair started to disappear. Now, I freely admit this is pure speculation on my part ... but educated speculation. And I would bet the farm the guy juiced.
Yours truly,
Joe
