This should be interesting. But there are some odd points on both sides:
Robbin Gracie: "The Gracies allege that, Robin was not beaten when Riccio challenged him. Robin has said he stopped the fight because he was not prepared for it." IMHO that is BS if you were not prepared for a fight why did you accept...don't make exceuses, why would you just stop a challenge match, I don't know the whole story of course but this is suspicious.
Damien Riccio: "Riccio alleges that the Gracie clan appeared at his place of work – a bar in Perpignan, and that Robin hit him while he was unawares, that Robin’s gang held him down while Royce Gracie hit Riccio’s 14-year-old brother" I may be wrong but I just cannot see Royce bitch slapping this teen they way it is implied
Also, he had a questionable win from Robbin and now wants to jump to someone who he claims is the best Gracie fighter Royce...hmmmm....seems like there is money to be made. I wonder what the purse will be for this match, I'll be the promoter

Royce hitting a 14 year old boy? Last time I checked Royce rarely struck. I doubt this damien guy will beat Royce, he just seems to be talking a load of bullshit to me.Comment

Also, Royce is a GREAT fighter but in my opinion past his prime, he is almost 40! This Riccio guy just wants to make a name for himself, how lame.Comment

It's obvious that this Ricco guy is full of shite. He is trying to make a name for himself and is trying to lower the Gracie's to his level and I doubt that it will happen.
First and foremost, Royce is not the type of person who would strike. I would believe that he attacked Ricco's 14-year-old brother if it said in the story that Royce got him in a flying armbar. LOL. But thats not the case, and it is obvious its false.
Secondly, if Ricardo, Ricco, or whatever his name is wanted the strongest Gracie he would have called our Rickson. But no, he knows Rickson would get him in a triangle faster then he could eat his snail. So instead he calls our Royce who is now older and not in his prime anymore. Basically its like Tito calling out Muhammad Ali.
Whatever thats my 2 cents. In my OPINION (go ahead start bashing) the Gracies are the most dominant family in MMA now and in history and it makes me angry that this classes frenchmen calls out Royce, someone who hasnt fought in years. Im suprised he didnt call out Helio.

Royce much like Rickson fights when the rules are are custom made & there's a HUGE paycheck to be made & not before.
Both Gracie's are past their prime & are just ghosts now.
The NHB world has past them by.

what do you mean they only fight when the rules are custom made...have you seen ufc 1, there were basicly no rules in that one (also, it would still be that way if it werent for proffessional boxing). be specific on how they only fight in custom rule sets.
also, saying the NHB world has pased them by is like saying the rap world has passed run DMC by.Comment
