Spanky: I'm glad you don't fold over to hypersensitive Sage. I frankly am sick of hearing that , "Oh, it's a white man's world. We're all being opressed." Not to say racism doesn't exist. No offense to anyone, but hearing those kinds of comments repeatedly are rather offensive to me, as a white guy.

P.S. Relating IQ to race is not racist. There is MUCH fact behind it. I'm not gonna be the one to say who's got the lower ones, but the to three highest average IQ's in order from highest to lowest based on racial decent in America--take in mind these numbers are consistent worldwide give or take a few points--

Jews (115 avg.)
Asians (103 avg.)
Whites (100 avg.)
??? left alone for hypersensitive people ??? (89 avg.)
??? left alone for hypersensitive people ??? (85 avg.)

70 IQ == legally retarded 130 IQ == Genius

Those are not racist remarks, those are FACTS! Run a google search on IQ by race, you'll see. Do not attempt to relate these issues to environment either, they have taken studies of adopted children of different colors, under different circumstances, and teh average IQ remained the same.

I.E. African American child under middle class Caucasian family from infancy, etc.

Haha, my Japanese is still poor after all these years. I've been involved with the Japanese for the last 6 years, and have been to Japan in the past. Right now I'm delving into some more intense Japanese study to prepare for another trip there.....possibly to look for opportunities to teach English.

RYU, that's cool. Your Japanese is better than mine I just took a couple classes. I switched schools, I can't take it anymore, my college doesn't offer it The Japanese are interesting, I liked studying the culture, but not quite enough to keep up outside of school The only thing I still study is the food. The problem with all standardized tests especially I.Q. is that the measure, generally speaking,, is valid at opposite ends of the pole (extremely low and extremely high) so what is in the middle is interesting perhaps, but functionally meaningless. The two most poorly defined words in psychology and sociology are intelligence and race. but evryone can do there own research if inclined to realize why the test was created, and the socio-political and ecconomical ramifications of the test.

I would reccommend that this thread should be closed before, what I consider to be a firendly forum, is transformed into something not so nice. What is considered "race" is still a very sensitive issue in the US and knowing that people should be respectful when posting something that may be considered insulting.

Perhaps in the future it may be better to PM the individual rather than create the thread.
