Definitely not intentional. Though it was correctly penalized, in hindsight you can see the angle of Royce's foot, with the top of the foot aimed at the inside of Yoshida's thigh. As we all know, if you are trying to kick someone in the groin you kick directly up, not with a sideways angle into their thigh.

o ... k - on a non moving target at the angle his opponent was - this was a groin kick - pure and simple!

Yes, becuase that's the rules. NHB has never truely been NHB as people percieve it. That includes the original UFC and vale tudo. A hell of a lot less than other fighting sports but definately not anything goes
