I agree it's an 'ok' training device....but not for your retarded reasons.

maybe your wooden dummy is different, but the one in my dojo cannot be hit at full power, and it's mainly used for things like the hubud drill, which I don't see a point in either.

pads/gloves/bags move, the dummy doesn't. you can also whack a bag full power and not hurt yourself or break the bag.

it is disrespectful to say anyone is completely wrong about anything. Based on there experiences they are very right. What works well for me is not what works best for others.some arts such as MT dont require flexibility in comparison to others. IF u are not a flexible person this style is more practical for you. For instance there are 2 forms of TKD, WTF and ITF. ITF does kicks high section and has different forms. WTF people disagree with our style becasue they say kicking head hight is to slow. Personally i can deliver abotu 3 head shot kicks in the time some WTF guys i have sparred can do 1 midsection kick. Thier style of TKD is accepted by the olympic association, so which one of us is correct? NIETHER!

Yeah dude my main style is TKD and i pwned a MT guy yesterday cause my kicks where up in his face and neck faster then his punches. I probably wore him out casue i would kick his hands and kept sweeping them with a cresent kick everytime he would regian his stance. I do use alot of this that i learn from other styles, but i was able to block most of his kicks and some of his punches with my legs only which i learned in TKD. NO art is superior in technique or deliverance. The person studying the art changes how good the art is or isnt.
And this dude is training to be in the UFC and he was pretty damn good/fast

He's obviously not a grappler. Good luck to him in the UFC

            Note:
Wooden Dummy is a best tool for training compare to your hanged punching bag......
this is the most pathetic thing ive ever heard in my life, you should try going to your local boxing club and sparring, *be able to withstand the pain cause by smashing of forearm against 3 arms of wooden dummy.....* LOL
