  • grappling question

I have been doing a lot of stand up, but i would like to be a little more versatile. There aren't any bjj schools near by, so I'm looking at two choices. I can either learn bjj from books or dvds, or I can take wrestling in college. Note that I have never wrestled before. If I went out for that, do you think it would be to late in life or school to try? What should I do? Any help would be much appreciated.

If you can get college-level wrestling coaching, I would highly recommend it - wrestling will proved a solid foundation for grappling. Don't be too concerned about being "new," or inexperienced... You're there to learn for yourself. After you get your feet wet, you can invest in instructionals, and I would also recommend seminars - you can't learn BJJ on your own.
