I couldnt read all the pages of agrument but I have my 2 cents.

Gi grappling is no less valid than no-gi, just as being a gardener is no less valid than being a plummer. If you like gi, great, if not, fine, who cares. If you want to get into MMA and you expect your opponents wont be wearing a gi, cool. If you don't plan on doing that, or maybe you think you will be able to use your own gi for things in MMA (absorbing sweat, gi chokes, ect...) thats cool, it worked for Royce and Yoshida, both of whome aren't any more or less respectable int he ring then other no-gi fellows.

Rogan hosted reality television which to me is pretty stupid, but I guess I can't hold it against him and he seems to be an alright guy, and I did love him when he said something like "The meatheads in the audience don't appreciate grappling" or something, because I feel exactly the same.

Bravo has some good stuff, and is undoubtably taking a different route in grappling, one I think more people should take (IE: invent stuff...). However, he seems rather pompus and I don't like that. Also, in the olympics when someone wins a huge race and just jumps up and down waving thier flag is one thing. However, in a one on one competition you have you single opponent you should respect. In the olympics, I rarely see people in one on one competition (IE: wrestling) jump up and down after the match yelling and screaming. This is generally looked at as unsportsmanlike. In a huge race you might see the first man through the tape jump and yell, but it isn't in the face of the opponent, its pretty much just with the fans, so I think most people consider it less disrespectful.

Totally! I hate it when boxers do the like after a match too... Respect for fallen enemies is much better demonstrated with humility. It's the least you can do if you just won a fight. Honor is almost dead, that's too bad.

Yeah, I really am on the site of stoicism in and at the end of a fight. I don't think people should be in there fighting with anger and I don't think they should jump around like a child when they win or pout when they loose. A lot of it is about dignity and honor and respect, and these things are especially important in keeping MMA from turning into a meatheaded, bloodlusting festival.
