Remco Pardoo was a Ju Jitsu guy and not a Judo giy.
He said he was a Jui Jitsu champ. I have asked other judo guys about him but rhey say he was not Judo.

No you didnt.Thats a full of shit lie that you made up.Why would you say that there were no Judo Players in the UFC if you heard that Leninger and Shamrock were matched up!?!?!? YOU ARE A LIAR!!!!

The Judo invasion was crap. The Gracie family takes on these guys that do Judo once a week as a hobby.
Once a week black belts eh? those were serious Judo Players and Rickson made them look like his biatch!!!

I think that sucked majorly. If they had marched into an Ol;ypmic Judo training school it would have been a dsifferent story.

Yea,it would take Rickson roughly 5 minuts to tap them.

I sawe Ben Spiikers get his neck stepped on by Renzo Gracie.
I think its sucked that Renzo had to use foul tactics to win.

No,if you really saw it the match was over when that happend. You strike me as a troll. You are also Anti Gracie for a reason not known to man.

Hey Ryu, if you haven't figured it out by now, well....
I'll let you guess who "Robin Hood" really is.

"Robin's" poor attempt at disguising his typing style is to purposely misspell words.

There have been a few idiots that truly couldn't spell or type right.
Lance comes to mind recently, even though he claimed to have graduated from college, which I seriously doubt. I still woudn't believe him, even if I saw a diploma and him standing in a cap and gown.

Everyone misspells and I hate to proof read, but some dudes just aren't too keen with the key board. But with some pervs here, it might just be because the keys are a bit sticky.

            HA!

Let's not let Robin Hood make us flame judoka, there are some extremly competent judo men in NHB...Kohsaka, and Shoji are just two good examples.
Plus I like the art, and train in it.

              Sweep,
LOL...I knew from the second day he posted.

I believe we're also foregretting the fact that Emmanual Yarborough competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship III. The announcer said he was bringing a Judo backgound into the Octagon as well as his world class Sumo wrestling skills. Actually, he said it was Judu and Sumu if I recall correctly. LOL
Remco Pardoel holds black belts in both Judo and Jiu-Jitsu. He is not a world class Judoka, except it appears that the majority of his training is actually in Judo. Look at the way he fights. Also, I doubt that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu was very big, if existant at all, in Holland before the early Ultimate Fighting Championships.

Correct me if I am wrong but...
I believe that Remco Pardoel is/was a black belt in Japanese Jiu Jitsu, not the Brazilian style.

bottom line is the gracies made those "once a week judo US champions" look silly. if the one was 5 years retired, so what? relson was out there mixing it up and hadn't competed for a lot longer than that I'm sure. even a very young royce (20?) was dominating the judo champion.

                        Gracie judo invasion is bullshit-
Rorion said: that wanted a friendly roll, and they started to fight for real and they sell there matches a serious matches

when were gracies "fighting for real"? if anything the judo guys got upset because they were being beat so easily and started to get mad. not one gracie did anything outside a friendly roll with them. keep in mind that this tape was made a long time ago, I don't think many of the gracies knew english too well, which is why rorion was translating. I liked when the US champion guy called young little royce a "son of a bitch", and then threatened to drop rolyer on his head. heh.

well I think the gracies english was even better than their japanese. at one point rorion is telling a gracie that matte (sp?) means "stop". he also tells rillion something in portugese at one point, I think telling him to start on the ground. rorion also says to the judo guys to just "tap on the ground and we will stop".

Royler is a black belt in judo, so i seriously doubt he does not know "matte"
