    How Frye won

First it should be known that great SPORT / tournament BJJ guys sometimes aren't that great at vale tudo.

Fyre won because he was the more WELL-ROUNDED fighter.

If you go back and watch that fight, you'll see someone who essentially used Greco-Roman wrestling to win, along with boxing. However, I didn't see Fyre attempt ONE judo throw in that WHOLE FIGHT!! So tell me where JUDO managed to win!!

He clinched Bitteti. Everyone knows that Greco-Roman wrestling RULES the clinch. Then every time Bitteti tried to take him down, Frye whizzered him. This went on and on, as Bitteti couldn't do anything from the clinch.

It isn't so much that one martial art was "better" than another. It was a matter of Bitteti not being able to get Frye into the RANGE that he is most comfortable in.

Frye dictated that fight because of his Greco-Roman wrestling and boxing--because he proceeded to beat the living SHIT out of Bitteti.

Even if they HAD gone to the ground, Frye was likely going to come out ahead, he was just so much more cross-trained.

Bitteti obviously had NO boxing skill or clinching skill.

Cross training won that fight, NOT a single art. The ART didn't lose by the way....a FIGHTER lost.

Some of you guys amaze me that you even know how to turn a computer on.

Actually, Frye did not clinch Bitetti. Frye was doing everything he could to maintain some distance. Every clinch in that fight was initiated by Bitetti. Frye succesffuly used his Folkstyle wrestling skills to neutralize Bitetti's takedown attempts. Bitetti burned a lot of energy trying to take Frye down to the ground only to have Frye eventually get distance again and nail him with a few more punches. The damage Frye did was done after he had repulsed Bitteti's takedown attempts and broken away. The fight went on and on in that manner until Big John McCarthy stopped the fight.

                    Bittetti v. Andrade

Did anyone here see the Bittetti's fight against Alex Andrade. He looked very tough until he took a shot on the jaw and started falling down a lot. He was actually out-boxing Andrade before then. He ended up winning on a disqualification due to Alex kicking with shoes (after being warned twice). Andrade looked to have his beating, but it's unfortunate the fight couldn'd have continued though.

Bitetti is training at Militeich's nowadays and I think Pat and his boys are benefitting immensely as is Amaury.
