M.F.: you would not believe how beautiful is Sicily, I think that there would gather the most beautiful girls of Italy. The problem, as you said, is Mafia. It's a beautiful place plagued by crime. Palermo is pretty much on siege by the police, without effect BTW.

It permeates just every aspect of everyday life, it's not something very apparent, but it's there:

For example, if I would open here a shop like the one that I have, my income would be greatly less, mainly beacuse of the monthly toll paid to the racket for "Protection".
