first of all chuck "the idiot ice cream lidell" isnt a good fighter. many gay chuck fans would say, yeah well hes beaten everyone, hes soooooo good. did anyone watch the pride tournament he went to. dana put like 100k on the line saying he would win the tornament. he got his ass kicked. and i enjoyed it because that idiot sucks. you get guys from pride to goto the ufc like quinton rampage, who beat the hell out of chuck, then you will notice how bad most ufc fighters are.
of course that will never happen because dana knows that all the white trash watch the ufc, and if chuck were to loose the tire burning fan base would be gone. and the way he flips out after he wins is embarrasing to watch. for some reason people like to see a boxing match in mma, get a boxer in the ring with him, and see how well he does. actually get someone thats actually decent in the ring.

I think that the whole basis for ufc is to just watch someone get knocked out. People are fooled and say its not boxing because they can wrestle too but all anyone is interested in is the KO which is the entire background of boxing. UFC FANS= rednecks who dont know a thing about mma.

who cares if he calls the octagan his house? does that make him a bad person? ive seen worse than that. and btw, wtf you think this is, a friendly game of tennis? its fighting, of course its going to involve some degree of trash talking, cockyness, and big egos. however, saying the octagon is your house and using the word yo a few times inmop is nothing, nor does it reveal much about a persons true nature. if you want a more friendly, family oriented sport then watch golf, tennis, or vollyball cause the ufc and mma are about being agressive and violent and being in your face.

2. For this, yeah I kinda can. He went up there talking like a complete idiot, a "thug" idiot. Randy can at least talk like a decent human being, so can plenty of other fighters. You don't have to get up there and go "Yo, man.... Yo.... I fight anyone, man, yo, man.... this be my house, fool!"

4. I imitate nobody, I just try to aply technique I've seen and learned. The ground is cold and wet here in February, though, so nowadays most of my grappling is on the URI wrestling mats or at Mat Santos'.

I can honestly say that I generally dislike Chuck as a person.Not because he is a bad fighter, in fact I think hes surprisingly good at many aspects of fighting, but because of who he is. This guy has children and hes partying at the playboy mansion with paris hilton. Thats terrable.

Also, just because this is fighting and not a game of chess doenst mean people cant have humility and dignity.

As I said before, I enough about hiphop to at least recognize ebonics and a "thug" persona when I see it. If you want to grill me about old tupac joints or KRSone lyrics thats okay, but not relevant.

do you honestly believe a guy who just won a huge fight in las vegas, after all that hard training isnt going to be partying it up and hanging out with all the celebrities who came to watch his fight? are you from the religious right or something? i mean, should chuck have just gone to sleep right after winning such an anticipated fight?

so what if he goes to the playboy mansion? tons of celebrities and professional athletes get invited there all the time, its a place for them to hang out. the playboy mansion holds huge events, including ones for charity. just because he is there it doesnt mean he is partaking in orgies and drugs. you dont know him, and you dont know what he does or doesnt do. you dont know him in his personal life, or what kind of father he is. there is no logical basis for any of the claims you make.

^EXACTLY, it doesn't make them a rapist or a cerial killer, but it makes them seem like angry mean fighters who just want to hurt people. Obivously this sport has to do with injury, but there is more to being an athlete AND a martial artist than that, and it seems feeble when fighters get mad and talk shit, it shows no respect for the other fighter or the sport.

Also, I am an an athiest (alright fine I'm agnostic, I have no idea and niether do any of us). I think you're doing a little judging here by calling me a nerd. I just happen to think fighers shouldn't talk a lot off smack and jump up and down and freek out when they win. Even tennis has had its "bad boy" types (as far a badboy you can be in TENNIS, i suppose) and I haven't liked thier personas either. I think having a little dignity shows something more than raw anger and emotion. Doesn't make me a nerd, I'm just sick of cocky jackasses.

I didn't get to watch the fight, but I hate poor sportsmanship. It's a shame really because it seems like sportsmanship is kind of a lost value these days. I'm with Dan and XF, it lowers my opinion of any athlete when I hear them talk trash.
