I see that a war has started on this thread. In my opinion, I think that both guys are awesome BJJ fighters. With the edge going to BJ if it were a BJJ tourney. But in mma its a different story. I see GSP as a well rounded mma fighter. And he puts it out in your face from the get go. BJ is known for taking his time and going for the kill when he knows its time to get down. Although you can see from BJs way of fighting that he carries the composed attitude of a BJJ artist. Thats what made him the first American black belt to win a Brazilian Championship in Brasil. I have rolled around with Penn. He has taught me some awesome mma techniques. I would not underestimate him even without a gi. When BJ got kicked out of the UFC, St. Pierre caught my attention from the start of his debut. He is awesome and is a terror in the UFC. But as you can see, the biggest arguement is about the ground game. And that is where I think will be GSPs mistake. I think as with everyone else, GSP will over look BJ striking abilities. BJJ is one of Penns well known talents, but I think BJ has a big chance of knocking GSP out. Thats just my thoughts on this subject.

Horn in Hughes' corner, and some of his guard defense was

Hughes started Jiu-Jitsu after his loss to Penn. He has improved a lot on his ground game. The best example of this, and most outstanding IMO was his fight against GSP. He looked like he has been doing it for years. Matt Hughes knows that to be beat the competition, you have to keep an open mind and learn new things to stay on top. I think that his jiu-jitsu skills has just made him a more technical and compliments his wrestling very well. Although I am not his biggest fan, I cant wait to see him fight GSP or PENN.

Or so it seems on internet forums. Anyway, while I would like to take bjj because it is thought to be the top style for sub grappling, I hope all the ¨bjj fighters we are discussing lose their asses. I mean really get put to shame. Which is too bad because I really like some of them in general. I´m just sick of some people getting all fired up and trying to say bjj is the be all end all of fighting. Maybe I´ll talke judo instead.
