Which is too bad because I really like some of them in general. I´m just sick of some people getting all fired up and trying to say bjj is the be all end all of fighting. Maybe I´ll talke judo instead. Then I can pretty much learn bjj without getting brainwashed.

WAR GSP!1! WAR HUGHS!1! and WAR to anyone else who will beat the piss out of any bjj player so some people can get of their nuts before they suffocate. Please, save a life.
lol I take bjj and I now hope the bjj fighters get smashed too...

oh and all though judo and bjj may be the same thing (im not starting an argument here, I dont give a crap if they are the same orcomplete opposites).

You wont learn the same things... Judo you'll learn to standup grappling and bjj will be the ground, I know both styles incorporate both standup and ground (at bjj we do hip throws, takedowns, leg trips, double legs etc..) but at bjj youll be like 90% ground while at judo youll be 90% standup.

Not that im saying take bjj over judo, just saying you wont learn the same things.

I understand that they aren't the same, I was pretty much just poking a little fun at some people . I wouldn't mind learning both if I had the time, money and places in the area. I'm fascinated by bjj, and the throws of judo are a thing of beauty.

Anyway, I'm pushing for GSP and I think he'll take it. I feel that he is a very complete and great all around fighter. He's been very active lately and just keeps getting better. I've only seen B.J. in action a couple of times, and I must admit that he didn't excite me much with what I saw recently (of course Renzo wasn't too fun either). I can definately see where Penn has some advantages, I just think that GSP is a turbocharged bundle off ass whooping fury and I believe he'll take it to B.J. I'm for sure on the ole "GSP is the future of 170" bandwagon.

            GSP naturally,

lol, well he did win, but it was a split decision, in my opinion GSP should have got a unanimous decision, with penn winning the first round.

My respect/like for Penn went up after this fight though, I'm glad gsp won (obviously), but I'm confused as to who Penn is going to fight next, I think other then Hughes or GSP, Penn wont have a problem with any Welter, or lightweight in the UFC today.

do you think penn just got gassed or what?

he destroyed gsp in the first round.

second round, pretty even, gsp inched ahead barely.

              third, gsp won no question.

also, what do you think about gsp's gyno...gee, i wonder if he's juicing

anywho...now gsp is going to go beat hughes up pretty bad.

I doubt GSP is juicing as they test for it, not sure if they test all fights, but title fights they do, and his next fight should be for the title so I dont think he would want to risk that. With that said, he also is a HUGE welterweight as it is, and said himself its becoming hard to get down to 170, I think he said he walks around at 185, so why would he want to juice?.. so he has to fight Franklin?

With that said Im not his chemist so you never know lol.

Penn didnt destroy GSP in the first round, he poked him in the eye (accidentally), which led to the eye cut, and he clipped the end of his nose which caused alot of blood, GSP's nose wasnt even broken so all that blood is considered "superficial damage", GSP was never rocked or on the verge of losing so I wouldnt say he was destroyed.

I still give that round to Penn, even though GSP did fairly well considering he couldnt see for 3 and a half minutes of it. I think GSP actually landed more strikes in the first, just like 65% of them were leg kicks.

look at GSP's gyno...those puffy nipples are a dead give away. he probaly uses gear during training and cuts it out a few weeks before fights. certain steroids will be out of your system in a short amount of time. he needs to learn proper pct before it gets even worse.

Penn controlled the first round, GSP had no answer. lets just agree that Penn won the first round

I missed the event, is it worth ordering late?
I was playing poker, finished 3rd in a world series event at harrahs, and 18th in another. Maybe I should be a pro?

Or you could just watch them on youtube or google video for free.

They were great fights, but only because I was on the edge of my seat for the GSP/Penn fight cause I thought any moment could be the turning point, or the end, so it was really interesting in that sense. The franklin fight is cool, but after knowing the outcomes I could never pay for it.

Oh and I never said BJ lost the first round, I simply stated that he didnt dominate or destroy GSP in it, he won the round though.

Ridiculous, I just watched it on you tube. Penn doesnt go for a take down until the 3rd minute of the 3rd round?? What the hell was he thinking, he almost landed in the mount when he tried. He deserved to lose. GSP had the hard take down in the 3rd, when all is equal, thats the tie breaker. Penn gave it away by trying to stand the whole time

Both my Jiu Jitsu instructor, and MMA/Jiu Jitsu instructor said they thought BJ would have molested GSP if he had taken him down and got on top. Whether in gaurd, half, side control, or mount, they think he would have dominated. I guess we will never know until they rematch, please god let them rematch. Hughes GSP and Penn fighting each other is great for MMA.
