          No, not really. Simply refusing a consensual search doesn't give an officer probable cause to search anyway. If that were true the whole requirement for probable cause would be pointless and there would be no such thing as a consensual search; any officer who didn't have probable cause could get it at any time by simply asking to search, and any officer who pulled you over could search your car at any time they felt like it.

                no fighter would even use the word kicking butt because it sounds like something a 10 year old kid would say about the power rangers fighting bad guys. A fighter would refer to fighting as kicking ass in the ring, beating someone down, whuppin up on someone, laying the smack down ect.these connotations are negative though and fighting should be treated with the dignity and respect it deserves, fighters owe a debt to the sport for what it has instilled in us and I'd never do anything to disrespect the sport.

                  "laying the smack down"

                  rather sound like a ten year old than a professional wrestler...

                      regarding wrist grabs. Very true with the swords. Also grab someone's nuts and their instinct is to grab your wrist. Grab their throat and the same thing happens, you can then break their wrist and return to the throat.

                        Getting back to the oringinal question..........

                        I'm open to suggestions. (Some questions stolen from Tim Mousel's test )

                        ==================================

                        To whom or what level are you proposing to give this test? I ask because many of your questions are very basic. I agree with you and I think that it is important to know something about the history (Bruce Less questions) of the art they are studying, however I would suggest that this belongs at the whitebelt level, as do most of othe other questions. If someone at the mid-belt level does not know these, something is probably wrong.

                        I would also call into question your many questions about the different fighting styles. I am not a MMA stylist, but I understand the basic concepts of what ya'll do. I do not believe you say "I am now going to use a TKD kick to knock you in the head, then I'll resort to my judo and throw you to the ground, while lastly finishing you with a choke from BJJ." Therefore, I would suggest that you may wish to re-consider your numerous questions about what each style is known for. Again, I appreciate the attempt at forming a foundational knowledge on the history and traditions from which your art is formed, but I must offer that there may be better things you could put in your test. The legal questions are good to keep, the situational questions (which strick is least likely to hurt your hand) are all good questions, because these are personally applicable. If, after someone has been in for a while (3 - 5 years), they decide they would like to look more specifically into some of teh specific arts, I would then guide them to a more detailed study of the parent arts.

                        Just my thoughts.
