I heard that krav maga, the Israeli army martial art form, teaches alot of real life self defense techniques. Has anyone checked out any schools? What are your takes?

Fedor is the man as is Crocop, Liddell, Hughes, Silva, etc etc etc

The debate gets a little tedious sometimes....but Fedor is still the man.
Ken Shamrock would have to be "The Worlds Most Boring Fighter" wouldn't he??

					Famous Karate Kid quote....
Daniel: Hey, what kind of belt do you have?
Miyagi: Canvas. JC Penney, 3.98; You like?
Daniel: [laughs] No, I meant...
Miyagi: In Okinawa, belt mean no need rope to hold up pants.
Miyagi: [laughs; then, seriously] Daniel-san,
Miyagi: [he taps his head] Karate here.
Miyagi: [he taps his heart] Karate here.
Miyagi: [points to his belt] Karate never here. Understand?
lol guys=)

Are you trying to insinuate that Randy is not a top notch fighter? If you are, you must be outa your mind. Dan severn is pretty damn good of a fighter for his age, and for the stuff he learned late in life. He did beat Forrest Griffin and a bunch of other top names.Originally posted by akio123 View PostRandy Couture and Royce Gracie coz of their good attitudes and being patient in the fight....also Dan Severn=)

Tito is not even close to being the best. He would get KTFO by Chuck, defeated or possibly KO/TKO'd or submitted by Babalu. And Forrest Griffin almost beat him too. Wanderlei Silva would beat Tito, no doubt in my mind. Shogun, Arona, Minotoro and Overeem would wipe the floor with Ortiz, for sure, if you disagree then youre wrong. Its seems like Ortiz just takes people down, cant even pass guard, and elbows the Ok fighters he's fought from within their guard.Originally posted by treelizard View PostTito!!!!!!
His ground and pound isnt even great, he does it with elbows! And elbows are easy and the only damage they really do is cause cuts and make it seem like the fighter on bottom is getting really hurt. Now, elbows from mount, side mount, or even half guard are great. But elbows from within guard = stalling and lay and pray. Plus, Fedor and Mirko dont need to use elbows.Last edited by 7r14ngL3Ch0k3; 10-15-2006, 12:40 PM.
