Also, guys, likened means how oftened they are used as a standard of comparison(not sure if that's how the author of this thread intended it though). A likened fighter would be one that moderen day fighters are compared to, ex: "He hits like Mike Tyson".

Its very hard for me to answer these questions, I don't know enough fighters or enough about them. However I do beleive Couture was probably the most likened figther, due to his dignity and humility (as well as fighting prowess). However, there was likely some kind of combat sport fighter on some part of the globe in some time period who was likened to a greater extent, these questions are very hard.

Also: Rickson is not invinsible and he himself knows this. Some of his "wins" were simply in tournaments and they certainly weren't all in big Pride FC events, we all know that. However, I really don't think he has ever lost to be honest with you. I've never see or heard of him losing in any competition, be it sambo/grappling/vale tudo/ect...

i dont really know much about rickson or how legit his record is, but i do know he did lose to Ron Tripp at the usa sambo championships. the wickipedia says that this is ricksons only loss

Rickson lost a Sambo match to Dr. Ron Tripp in a 1993 match. His excuse after the match was that he wasn't fully cognizant of the rules so he doesn't count it as a loss.
