Another thing, according to you, you don't owe the blacks anything since you yourself wasn't responsible for their ancestors being slaves, and YET; now I don't get this at all, YOU owe the native americans some land since this an' that yada, yada yada. My question based on your reasoning is this: were you one of the original settlers who drove those injuns away? Seriously, are you a descendant of one of those settlers that drove the native americans to where they at right now? Are you sure you didn't descent from some slave owner? Or better yet , are you 100% sure you don't have a drop of black blood in your system? Be careful now, you may never know, otherwise you might be on the wrong side of the camp

the “yada yada” I put in there was that I (and my ancestors before me) actually lived on land that in one sense was theirs (Natives) long ago, so I and anyone else living on that land do owe them something. None of my ancestors drove them away but I do live on land that in one sense was theirs long ago. I think this is pretty clear cut, what exactly is it that you don’t understand about this.
Oh yes, the classic, you may be black yourself, sorry partner, pure bred Celt here. I can trace every one of my ancestors back to Ireland and Scotland, on both my mother’s and father’s sides (i.e. both sides of my family came to America in the late 1800’s).
With blacks 99.9% of the time if someone has ANY black blood in them you can see it straight away. Someone could have a distant relative who is part Native American or Mexican and you would never know the difference, but with blacks you can almost always tell right off. They are just so different from whites that ANY black genetics sticks out big time.
I would also like to make one thing clear, even the decendents of slave owners only owe blacks any profits they have inherited from the benefits of slavery. Don’t think that I’m suggesting you go to the trailer park in Alabama and start garnishing people wages because their great great grandfather owned slaves. However many of the descendents of slave owners have inherited a ton of money which originally came from slavery. Any reparations should rightfully come out of that money, and its interest collected over the years. Things like this can be done fairly, once all the politics and bul**hit are taken out of them.

I'm not putting down the suffering of working-class whites, but it doesn't begin to compare to the experience of African-Americans. 300 years of forced labor followed by 100 years of second-class citizenship, solely because of skin color. Think about it.
I think that the suffering of a junky is 1000 times worse than mine, but the fact is he put himself in that situation and must get himself out of that situation.
I think that the suffering of Blacks in Africa is far far greater than my suffering, but again they as a people must get themselves out of that situation.
If your saying that Blacks have problems because whites won’t hire them etc., I would argue with that, maybe like 30 years ago this was the case on a large scale but now it is very rare and illegal, but Blacks still like to have that as an excuse and/or crutch. But let’s just pretend this is the case, why can’t they start their own businesses and hire their own people etc.. Long ago Catholics in America had real legitimate discrimination problems, but they made themselves extremely successful here America, not through hand outs, but by hard work. I could come up with 100,000 excuses as to why I should not have to make my own way in life, I had a hard childhood, I was born poor, but in the long run people just don’t care about my problems or anyone else’s. You’ve got to just suck it up and deal, get some therapy and move on. Unfortunately I think we’ve become a society of excuses for bad behavior.
