And having hOmoPlata back sure ain't gonna help matters any. Didn't he get banned?

Son of a bitch would you both just grow the **** up.

Every thread in this forum is 4 respones to the topic asked and than MasterGrappler aka Omoplata saying something fucking dumb, and the rest of you trying to burn him, but him not caring, even if you do burn him, it doesnt matter because he doesnt give two shits.

            **** just ignore it people.

As for the original thread starter.. heres my take...

While wrestlers are more agressive and bjj players usually less agressive this is just a general thing. And neither is better, I've tapped out wrestlers in under ten seconds by pulling gaurd and armbarring from a collar and elbow clinch. I've always been put on my ass by wrestlers faster than I knew what was happening.

Want something scary though, someone who knows what they are doing in BJJ going HARD, the guy was better than me, but usually he's the most passive guy there is, he told me after he just does that everyonce in awhile to make sure he can still do it, usually he's playing gaurd and laughing and joking while he does it. He figured I wouldnt complain when he went really hard so it was okay. I thought it was cool, and scary how much of a difference there was.

oma isnt the one at fault here. he may some extreme stuff, but i personally dont mind, we are all different. the problem really is that anytime he says something, jubaji has to immediately pounce on it to get attention from oma. its like great jubaji, you called him "homoplata" for the 1289471743987th time. how clever. you are obsessed with oma.

as for the difference between wrestlers and jiu jitsu guys and agressiveness has to do with the gi inmop. a jiu jitsu guy doesnt need to be that explosive most of the time when he has solid grips on his opponents gi. if you have established solid grips on your opponents gi, it makes it real hard for him to beat you with strength, as he will lose a lot of it while you relax with your solid grips. wrestling doesnt give you the luxury of holding position with the gi grips. the gi just slows everything down, and thats why its a training tool.

I never said it was Oma's fault.. but it is partly his fault.

He's not just saying "extreme" things, he's doing it on purpose to get a reaction... I'm just saying, stop giving him the reaction.

Mentality divide: Wrasslin n' that krazy oriental stuff!

Doing a comparitive analysis of styles helps us understand the other stylists strategies, strengths and weaknesses so we can better understand our own by either adjusting or cross-training.

You might find yourself getting taken down harder than your used to and controlled by a wrestler and unable to get position for your submission; likewise you might leave yourself open for a painful submission against a jujitsu fighter if you're not used to seeing submissions.

                              Great topic, Dan.

PS - You misspelled 'divide' in your title. I'm not particularly bothered by it nor am I trying to throw a wrench in your post. I am however guilty of trying to improve your writing style.

If you note any grammatical errors in my posts, feel free to correct them as well.
