I agree.....i was more impressed with Franca then with Sherk.....he had him submitted after the first takedown with that Guillotine choke...if only he had adjusted his guard up a little higher.....and he landed tons of huge knees when he shot in.

I was disappointed with Tito vs. Rashad too. And why didn't they show the Bonnar fight?! Ah well. It was cool to see KenFlo kick ass. He is such a good technical fighter.

I'm not sure Sherk was REALLY in danger from the Guillotine.

But those knees... I mean, I didn't realise Sherk could take that kinda shot 10 times and keep goin... that was pretty brutal.

Me too. Especially the first 2 rounds. Sherk is a true champ.

Big Nog almost got KO'd!!!! But Herring's a dumbass and backed off.

I cant believe Tito vs Rahsad ended in a draw. Tito grabbed the fence in the second round and got a point deducted. Chuck, for example, grabs the fence and never gets warned. Tito really won though. He had more takedowns, more sub attempts and he really pushed the pace while Rasahd was prancing around all loosely thinking he's Sokoudjou or something. I hate Rashad's attitude and showboating.

Did Sherk take 10 knees? I think more like 4, If the Sherk, Franca fight was boring in my opinon it was becasue Sherk was the onley one fighting.
Franca had about a total oF two minutes of activity....the knees and the gulitone......the rest was in my opinion turtleing up and stalling from the guard.
Its pretty hard to fight a guy who stalls and covers.
I'am all for a point deduction for stalling and inactivity.

Sherk had a ton of opportunities to finish it. He just didn't for some reason. Instead he was like "throw! point! throw! point!" I don't know. I was rooting for him in a table where everyone else was going for Franca but I was disappointed. And it was funny when he said he used good jiu jitsu and wrestling. Good wrestling maybe but there was NO jiu jitsu in that fight...

I guess it was good for Tito because he gets a rematch, and that fight was the last one in his contract. I almost wanted him to win just so he could rub it in Dana White's face. I wondered whether he was purposely going easy on Rashad the first round to try and tire him out. I hate both of their attitudes and showboating, though.

And yeah, the fence thing... isn't punching on the back of the head illegal too and how many people did that in like almost every fight last night? And the inactivity thing... it is so weird how some fights get stood up within seconds and others where there is inactivity don't. I wonder if it's fixed sometimes.

Sherk told Franca after the fight that he was thinking about tapping but he passed so he was ok.....they also said that Sherk was out cold after the knee in the second round but when Hermes starting punching him he woke back up.

Its actually the complete opposite......Hermes was barely in his guard he let Sherk pass on purpose to try and scramble up.....he was way more active then Sherk.....i mean all you have do do is look at round 5...how many times did Sherk take franca down? i think at least 8 or 9 times and why is that? because Hermes kept trying to get back to his feet....so thats like 8 times in round 5 plus all the other scrambles from the other rounds....plus he tried an armbar a kimura a few times a kneebar a heel hook those huge knees and a few guillotines.

Now dont get me wrong Sherk did win the fight and ptetty much every round but i was more impressed with Hermes heart and tenacity......Sherk's wrestling impressed me though too.

I thought he was just doing takedowns to get points.
