  • Babalu banned?

So how do you think Bablu should be reprimanded?

Dana is taking half his prize money and the NSAC is supposed to meet and review the tape.

Didn't BJ Penn do basically the same thing to Jens Pulver although Jens didn't pass out.

the NSAC is the one who is holding his 25,000 dollars until they make a decision. that was actually his total fight purse.

Babalu says he didnt feel Heath tap in his weakened blood lossed state and thats why he looked up at the ref to see if he was gonna stop the fight. We all know he meant to hold it, but legally, he could probably get out of it..... if he does, that f@ggot Dana White is gonna look like even more of an idiot for kicking him out of the UFC.

Dana White is fuckin piece of shit. He disrespects Josh Barnett after he said he could beat Couture, and then admittedely blackballs Josh Barnett from ever fighting in the UFC again..... then he says that "nobody cares about Josh Barnett fighting in the UFC, especially me"..... even though Barnett has had the most active career in 2006-2007 fighting all top heavyeights and doing great commentary for PRIDE and any real MMA fan would love to see him fight in the UFC. Yet Dana White signs former WWE wrestler Brock Lesner. I hope Brock Lesner swallows some teeth after taking a few knees.

Dana White allows fighters to show disrespect before a fight and then is surprised when one gets over emotional. Babaloo took a lot of verbal crap before this fight and must have been hyped as hell. Dana is being unrealistic in banning him.

He gets jealous, and doesn't want to see "his" fighters fighting in other tournaments, and the Babalu thing is no different. It's a Dana White thing, not a Babalu thing. In my humble opinion, as a viewer and fan of MMA, the UFC would be a whole lot better if Dana would remove himself from the day-to-day workings, the media hype, etc., and let the fighters and the media do their thing.
        hello,

would this include his doing autograph signings at events, or publically declaring he will destroy this fighter or that? hahahahaha. agreed. he is too involved. as far as bannning renatosobral, this makes no sense. in doing the precident has been set... anyone stepping out of line in the ring (even a little) will be banned. this could lead to fighters not willing to take risks (going easy to avoid trouble). also, if danawhite fails to ban the next guy doing this same thing, it could lead to fighters not trusting the ufc and seeking thier fortunes elsewhere (other organizations).

in the end, danwhite wanting "his fighters" to fear him is not a good or even profitable thing.

considering how many fights renatosobral has given us.... he is the consumate "go anywhere anytime" fighter. he always gives his best, and one minor slip up... banned? that's overkill.

danawhite also claimed "the fans turned against renatosobral (babalu)".... you folks are all fans here... did any of you turn against him? if one believes the posts here and other sites, it appears that babalu has the general support of the fans. sounds fishy.

reanatosobral also gave us the greatest quote in mma... when asked by joerogan "after this big win tonight, what are your plans for the future". babalu looked thoughtful a moment and uttered these words:

        "kick more ass".

come on danawhite... give the man back his money and his job. he has already told us what he will do if you will!!!

        thanks

          hello,

ooof. and arrogance take a huge right hook to the ego!!!

yes. danawhite did a monumental thing bringing mma to the forefront of public consciousness. guess it's easy to overlook his positive contributions.

mikebrewer, your reality check is appreciated.

          thanks.

              hello,

fijeeboi, it is somewhat stupid. there are many who figured some sort of "slap on the wrist" was warranted by the situation. what shocked everyone was the extent to which the ufc moved against renatosobral.

in case you are unfamiliar with the situation:

renatosobral ended a fight with a choke. he held it on for a couple extra seconds in what many view as a "demonstration of dominance". nothing earthshaking there. this has happened with other fighters with no action. so one of the questions on everyone's mind are "why didn't the ufc take action against the other fighters?" and "if no action is taken against other fighters for the same offense, why is ufc willing to end the career of renatosobral?"

the stupidity seems to lurk in the arbitrary nature of the rulings danawhite hands down.

              thanks.
