I need to learn some of that, I work in a place where the need may come up that I will need to get someone in a hold and throw them out of the place. Should I look up my local Judo studio? I just don't want to get taught at a Judo McDojoOriginally posted by Heroic Wolf View PostI would go with judo since chances are, if you'll need to restrain somebody in a non-serious situation, things won't go to ground-fighting. Why would I say such a thing? BJJ is judo...Judo can not kick it's own ass.

I have to ask what your goals are.
Why are you interested in completely immobilizing someone without hurting them?
Do you want to be able to do this for self defense purposes?
