  • Looking for a good fighting style

Hey, im new to the whole fighting scene, with some experience. I was seriously considering BJJ, but i was told i wasnt the right build for it. Im 17 years old, 6' 135lbs(yeah im a skinny guy, but my friends tell me my strength-to-body weight ratio is insane, so im interested in fighting)

am i too small to fight? or maybe i should look for some other style?

any help is appreciated, thanks boys.

BJJ is really good for lighter weights. I suggest you take it.

Muay Thai is good for stand up.

I also suggest Arnis for weapons.

BJJ is fine for any body type.

If you're really that tall you'd be a great standup fighter. The reach you'd have on people your weight class will be insane.

        Hey there Guys.

If you do choose to look for some other style, I would suggest Ketsugo. It's about combining the best and most effective self defence moves from the greatest methods of hand to hand combat ever devised.

I vote for muay thai but it really depends on what's available in your area and who's tuition you can afford.

Go with Muay Thai or Boxing since you're a tall guy and your reach will make a difference.

Hey, why not try traditional Kung Fu styles. Like Choy Li Fut or Hung gar etc. These styles can work for any body type. There are also other animal styles that fit different body types. You might like Northern manstis or other quick fighting styles. Gung Fu has a massive amount of techniques and applications, so huge in fact that it would take a life time and more to catagorize them all.
