I'm not sure what it's called in english but a rough translation from chinese would mean "wild horses split the middle." The mechanics are relatively the same, hand grabs opposite side wrist, shoulder into armpit, and lift/blast them up and out after stepping behind their legs.
The usual translation is "Parting Wild Horse's Mane".

There is a similar move in silat called "kinjit" or "kengit". I was looking on the net for a video example and came across something on stickgrappler's site - surprise surprise, he has an animated gif of Lyoto Machida pulling off something very similar against Kazuhiro Nakamura in UFC 76. It's the first takedown in the first animation.

It is a very similar move, he just deems to omit the knee lift. Nice eye.

Did you notice your avatar on my shirt there?

          KOTF,

Thanks for taking the time to post another video, and it was interesting to see your methods. There is some good stuff that you are into.

I intend to do the same one day.....when I get a digital camera. I nearly bought one on the weekend, but we ended up getting a new TV and DVD player instead......thanks wife!

KOTF, I think you could address the grab multiple ways. The way you demonstrated seems good against a long-arm type grab. In a shorter, bent arm grab, you can apply leverage at the elbow (wrenching the arm) - changing the balance of your opponent to make a sweep easier or open them up for a strike. Just a last minute thought.

Good call Tom. I haven't had that much camera time and I'm still getting used to the process.

Started as a two handed shove as opposed to a grabbing? Just a little detail but the time of attachment is slightly different...
