    Finally

Finally a sensible thread. There's another one going here that say Tyson would beat Royce Gracie in a NHB. LOL.

There's no way Sak can beat Royce in a rematch.

          right on

Sak might be able to beat Royce again in the future but the rematch is all Royce. He'd to want it so bad and train so hard that theirs no way it he wouldn't win.

theres no such thing as a great chin there are punches that miss the mark but if a lightweight hits you or me properly in the jawline and we dont see it comming ...if it surprises us.. we start looking for a place to lay down...its neurological...the problem with most and alot of martial artists is that they over estimate greatly the physical world and minimize the importance of mental factors and perceptual abilities ...thats because most of us have never been in the ring with world class punchers...the difference between a knockout and a meaninless punch is calculated in millimeters..so in my humble opinion there are no great chins just fighters who can stay out of harms way... its the punch that u dont SEE that hurts you..

What drugs are you guys taking when you watched the Sak-Royce fight (if you did)?

Royce looked pretty good in the first few rounds, but the later rounds were mostly Sak. Sak threw and landed more blows and was able to control the fight.

Royce's corner may have thrown in the towel for him, but he would have been brutally stomped if it continued with a broken foot. Sak is smart enough to attack an opponent's weaknesses and would have done so with brutal effectiveness.

Regarding a rematch, who know for sure, but the smart money would go with Sak. He has better stand up strikes and standing grappling skills, and good enough ground grappling to avoid most submissions and stand up again quickly. He dictated the pace of the first fight, and would likely do so again.

Royce has done some great things in the past, but the future belongs to the well rounded NHB fighters who can strike, grapple(ground), and wrestle(standing). Royce has only shown himself to be skilled at one of these three important areas. Royce's grappling is better than Sak's, but Sak has demonstrated that he is far better at striking and wrestling than Royce.

And the intangibles: Sak has fought so many top opponents where Royce has not had the same trials by fire as Sak. This must give Sak more confidence and craftiness. Sak has fought Goes, Vitor, Igor, Renzo, Royler, Couture, Royce, Mezger...

If you take the ten toughest opponents Sak has fought and compare them with the ten toughest opponents that Royce has fought, you will see a huge difference! He competed in a different era. Sak has a huge experience edge here anyway you want to cut it.

He has weathered the striking storms of Vitor and Igor, avoided takedowns from world class wrestlers like Couture and avoided being submitted by some of the best BJJers in the world, like Renzo, Royler and Goes. Compared to this, I dont think that Sak has that much to fear from Royce.

I know you guys really look up to Royce and he has done alot, but try to see that the NHB game has evolved so much in the last 5 years. Royce has not shown the ability to adapt to this new reality yet.

                Hey Easy-E,

Couture never fought Sak. Do some more research my friend.

look at his face, it was all swollen. I love to see the rematch, I bet Royce would win no doubt!"

Extremely tired and hurt? What fight were you watching? BTW, watch where Royce's corner throws in the towel, you see Royce nod in agreement. Royce in no way dominated this fight, Sak's obvious strategy was to let royce wear himself out, he did this then punished royce (remember when sak kicked him in the leg and sent him face first into the ropes?) And how is royce going to beat Sak? He can't out strike him and he can't take him down.

Yes, Sak won. Royce lost. I can accept that, no excuses what so ever. BUT....! Sak didn't beat Royce because he's a better fighter. Royce clearly dominated thru out the whole fight until the last minute where he broke his foot. Like I said, I agree that Sak won, but he is NOT a better fighter than Royce. Royce will definately beat him in the rematch.

Royce DID dominate the fight. Which fight you were looking at Vitor29? And what do you know about Sak's strategy?? Show me where he ever said that his strategy was getting ass kicked until the opponant gets foot broken.

Sak was getting his ass kicked?

Are you referring to those feeble punches that Royce was landing, that gassed him out?

                              BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, that was a good one!

                                Ronin,

Are you okay man? At least Royce was able to land the so called 'feeble punches' according to your shitty point of view. What did Sak do while he was getting tossed around by Royce's punches?? Sak made Royce tired? You really don't think Sak was tired as well? That fact is Royce was the one that made Sak tap, what did Sak do to Royce desides those sissy leg kicks? Get real!
