Is there controversy with the mixed martial artist and the kung fu fighters?
...as soon as Harada saw the kimono clad Okuyama with his long flowing hair he said, “I knew I couldn’t win the encounter”. There was something special about him. Harada faced him all the same, but as soon as it had begun it was over “it was truly incredible” Harada recalled, “so fast”. Okuyama had attacked Harada’s head with an open palm. Okuyama had not even physically touched Harada “but I felt the power, such power, I had never felt that before anywhere”.
And which points would those be? What if the guys wearing a thick jacket or baggy pants?
There is no such thing as deadly vital point striking. There is kyushojutsu and pressure points to cause pain and numbness in the joints, but there's no "poke them a few times, watch their heart explode" points.
Kyusho-jutsu is the technique of attacking the vital points

Do you have any actual reason to doubt the presence of these points? Other than skepticism?
I'm going to school to be an acupuncturist So aside from all my studies in biology, human anatomy and physiology, and the like I'm learning a bunch of the fundamentals, such as all the different lines. There's nothing there that will kill you, sorry.
And where on Bubishi.com? I'd like a reference to see for myself.

Take it up with the Gong Fu people, then, not me.

Did I say anything about a website?
Here, try this one
I do all the time, and I never get a good reason, explanation, or example of evidence that isn't complete bullshit. For your own learning, go to Bullshido.com and put that up as a poll, and see how well it turns out. I want evidence, and none of them deliver. They just buy the crap their sifu tells them.
Mind you, I'm not an anti-Chinese MA person. I own several books on chin na and supplement my ninjutsu studies with what I can learn from there to effectiveness, so hence I'm not anti-Chinese MAs. I'm just anti-bullshit.
And I'd prefer a reliable Internet link, I don't feel like blowing $20 to prove somebody incorrect. And you do realize anything published in a book is for many of them purposefully put in in the wrong place, right?

I wasn't asking you to buy it, merely showing you what I meant by Bubishi. You study Okinawan Karate, ask about the Bubishi.

Used to. Did it, earned the belt, found out it doesn't teach realistic self-defense at all, and moved on to one that does. And I'm talking evidence I can see and read for myself that is well-documented. Just because it's in some Bible-esque martial arts book doesn't mean I'm going to take it to heart. I want direct evidence and not just some BS.

Like I said, I don't know for sure, but Gong Fu is based on striking pressure points which could cause great amounts of damage, even if they don't kill.
The study of Kyushu-Jutsu is derived from the Bubishi

But there's nothing deadly in kyushojutsu, no one touch instakills. Wouldn't you think the Japanese would take those "instakill" strikes from there and add it in to kyushojutsu?
The temple is a pressure point and if you hit it hard enough, yeah, they'll die, but that's because the bones there are very thin and will shatter more than any one-touch kill. Pierce some of those with a thin blade and yeah, they'll probably die, but one poke from a skinny Chinese guy with coke bottle glasses isn't going to take down the likes of Bob Sapp. Sorry for destroying your illusions

Not my illusions, as I stated in my first response, and later repeated.
Are strikes to the temple allowed in MMA competitions? Just curious.

You were the one to say kung fu'ers have deadly killing moves, however.
Muhammad Ali knocked out Sonny Liston with a punch to the temple. It will take a lot of force and repeated beatings to really break through the temple, but it is the only weak spot really on the cranium. The body can take a lot of punishment, so a few little pokes won't kill anybody. My buddy used to work for Black Diamond, where they would test out rock climbing equipment in situations that could exert as much as 4000lbs of force on their body. That's a lot, considering tumbling done by gymnasts can equal around 1600.

Semantics.
Techniques that can kill someone easily cannot be used in the ring. I specifically said "I don't know much about Kung Fu" so I find it odd you would thing I was stating something with enough confidance to argue it for a page length.

Blood chokes can kill and they're used. The kung fu guy was basically just full of McDojo fantasies and got beaten by a skilled fighter.

Then why bring it up in the first place then defend it?
Didn't Muhammed Ali use boxing gloves?
Yes he did. You can still knock someout from a punch to the temple with gloves on.
