If any of you are actualy still rading this...I'm trying a new class tonight at a different place--still TKD--I only tried one school and have only had one (very sodding bad) group that I've been to, and I'm trying another one in, like, 2 hours...there's more adults there. Wish me luck.....

From what I remember of that area of VA, there are a few schools you might want to look at. If you want to stick with hard styles, there's a Muay Thai school in Hampton, I think it was on Keghotan (spelling?), although I only found it once. There's aother place I trained at in Portsmouth on Hwy 17, but it's a little bit far.
If you want to look into kung fu, there's a school in VA Beach and Newport News. I believe they teach southern styles.
Finally, I think there's a Hapkido school on J. CLyde Morris. That might be a bit of a drive, too. Personally, when I move back up there next year, I'm looking at the kung fu school. Also, I haven't lived in VA in almost 5 years, so some of the info might be out of date.
