Watched on PPV down here in Australia at 11.00 am on Saturday morning (missed training for it, but apparently then so did the senior instructor . . .)
A pity, I really hoped Shamrock would give Tito a hiding, but he just did not have the gas to go on with it after absorbing so much punishment. It was interesting to see that Shamrock could still take a shot and keep going, even if he was just trying to survive.
Shamrock did not "teach Tito some humility" as he had said he would, but he did show him how to be respectful . . . at least it lasted a few minutes before Tito went back into arsehole mode for the fans.
All in all, I thought it was a good show - the UFC is much better now its not just 10 minutes of wrestling with nothing happening. Its a good mix of stand-up and grappling, and most of the fighters seem to have trained in all ranges of fighting.

They're both arseholes. I still remember Ken in UFC 1 where he tapped out and then spent an embarrissng few seconds trying to pretend that he hadn't...... And his book makes me puke.
Don't know too much about Tito, except for the fact he has misspelled his name. Tit.

Im with you on the fact that they are both jerks, but I too was real suprised at ken shamrocks poor showing, especially after all the smack talking he did.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm not sure that steroids adversely affect the CV system. It's just that the clowns who use them pride themselves in their pretend muscular physiques, and too much cardio can inhibit muscle growth.
This is why many muscular people (on steroids or not) end up low on cardio, they just don't train it enough.
In Ken's book he reckons that beginners to weight training will soon be bench pressing 300lbs. Yeah right. What a load of trollop. 300lbs bench press is a major achievement for the weight trainer, and will take years to achieve.
He admits toying with steroids "in his youth, briefly", which I don't believe for an instant. It is no coincidence that if you take the words "Ken Shamrock" and mix the letters up, then add a few, then take a few away, you get the well known phrase "juiced up brain dead loser".

they also kept saying that Tito, besides (in his words) doing hours of cardio a day, trained with the best people he could find for the different aspects of his fight game, whereas Ken trained with the members of the Lions Den. The announcers made a good point I thought, which was your not going to improve by training with people who are not as skilled as you and that you spar against day in day out

Ken
Shamrock is such a schmuck. He has proven he has no character as evidenced by:
1) not acknowleding his tap to Royce (as stated above)
2) going after Severn and Smith after the win
3)saying he stole Royce's "warrior spirit" with 1 punch, and calling him a monkey ass
4) doing all of the above and more (numerous fights backstage) and then telling people they need to be respectful! LMAO
Tito can act like an idiot on camera, but I have yet to hear of anyone who has meet him in person say he is the ass Shamrock is in person.
