    Naw. He's too sanctimonious.

If some Body Building types want to come over and have a laugh for a while, who really gives a shit? it is only an internet board after all.

I still havent seen anything that tells me that steroid abuse is safe, though. Only selective "facts" and propoganda.

Bri, we have been saying all along its USE, not ABUSE of steroids. You fail to recognize the difference between those two words though. But since this is the internet who gives a shit about those trivialities?
I think Im done with this crap now.

No need to call names. Regarding intelligence, you don't know me, you might be surprised.

I don't want to start an argument, I made a mistake, you made a mistake, let's leave it like that.

          Use and Abuse.

If you have an illness, and it is a sound medical option to prescribe steroids, then that is "use".

If you want to win some kind of sporting competition where the "use" of steroids is forbidden, then that is "abuse".

Now I am good with words. But i never could get the difference between "body builder" and "knobstick".

bodybuilder= us : tough, intellegent, manly, everything you're not.

knobstick= you : that tiny little thing you call a wood. the only reason you hate us is because despite steroid use and your thought that it makes us have small cock and balls....WE STILL HAVE A BIGGER PACKAGE THAN YOU ....KNOBSTICK

THE JACKASS COMMENT WAS IN DEFENSE TO YOU SAYING "AGAIN, GAIN SOME KNOWLEDGE BEFORE YOU COMMENT". BUT LIKE YOU SAID, YOU DIDNT REALIZE THAT I WAS BEING FACETIOUS.

ITS ALL COOL WITH ME. BUT TECHNICALLY, I DIDNT MAKE A MISTAKE.

                  BRI THAI

YOU WOULD BE SUPRISED AT HOW INTELLIGENT BODYBUILDERS REALLY ARE. MAYBE NOT IN EVERY SUBJECT, BUT TO SURVIVE IN THAT SPORT, YOU HAVE TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS.

BTW....I'M NO BODYBUILDER. I JUST WORK OUT FOR SELF SATISFACTION.

I love the blatent stereotyping, here.

Just because I'm bigger and stronger than you doesn't mean you are smarter than me, homeboy. How many bodybuilders have you actually talked to?

The truth is, most bodybuilders have a level of knowledge and discipline that far exceeds that of the average person. I've taken both millitary style tae and jj, and I can tell you that lifting weights is far more difficult and challenging than learning the tiger form or double-legging your sparing partner.

As Kayne says, you have to know what you are doing to succeed in this sport. There are times when your body and mind are screaming at you to stop, but you put it aside and lift for those extra reps.

Too bad you seem to be beyond the point of acknowledging this fact. This is YOUR weakness, not mine.

                    • So, if intelligence means knowledge, which means discipline......then Body Builders are intelligent? Maybe.

But if intelligence means intelligence, then they are bunch of thick twats.

Who else thinks it is a worthwhile pursuit to put there energies into being unhealthy? All that dehydrating and "chemicals". And tan cream...... Its' hardly the engagement of the intellectual elite is it?

Dehydrating? You mean you've never had to make weight before? I thought you were a martial artist.

People who use chemicals and supplements are unhealthy?

I run close to 20 miles and lift for eight hours a week. My resting heart rate is 55 bpm. My bp is 120 over 70. I'm SO unhealthy for being almost thirty.

                            • I wasn't high, I was trying to follw the logic of the drug induced logic of the steroid abuser.

No, I have not had to dehydrate myself to "make the weight". There are many instances of boxers who have done this, and ended up dead. That is why they weigh in the day before a fight nowadays. So thanks for proving my point.

And I'm sure I didn't mention "supplements". I mentioned chemicals. In the context of the thread, I'm sure most people know what I mean.

Running 20 miles a week is nothing to write home about. And so much weight training is only possible because of the roids. My resting heart rate is 50, and I am soon to be 40. But so what?

Please point to articles from neutral senior members of the medical profession who say that the performance enhancing use of steroids is healthy because, as it stands at the momenbt, you're arguments are like the ones used by people who say they have been abducted by aliens.

                              • Reversal of COPD-associated weight loss using the anabolic agent oxandrolone.

Yeh SS, DeGuzman B, Kramer T; M012 Study Group.

Veterans' Affairs Medical Center, Northport, NY, USA.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: Weight loss is a common complication of COPD, associated with negative outcomes. Weight restoration has been associated with improved outcomes. The effects of oxandrolone, an adjunct to help restore weight, were evaluated in patients with COPD. DESIGN: Prospective, open-label, 4-month clinical trial. SETTING: Twenty-five community-based pulmonary practices throughout the United States. PATIENTS: A primary pulmonary diagnosis of moderate-to-severe COPD as defined by FEV1 < 50% of predicted and FEV1/FVC ratio < 0.7, along with significant involuntary weight loss (weight < or = 90% ideal body weight). INTERVENTIONS: Oral oxandrolone, 10 mg bid. MEASUREMENTS AND RESULTS: Body weight, body composition (bioelectric impedance analysis), spirometry, and 6-min walking distance were measured. Data for 82 patients at 2 months and 55 patients at 4 months are presented. At month 2, 88% of patients had gained a mean +/- SD of 6.0 +/- 4.36 lb (p < 0.05) and 12% had lost a mean of 1.7 +/- 2.15 lb (not statistically significant [NS]). At month 4, 84% had gained a mean of 6.0 +/- 5.83 lb (p < 0.05) and 16% had lost a mean of 1.8 +/- 1.74 lb (NS). Month 4 bioelectric impedance analysis showed the weight to be primarily lean tissue, with a mean increase in body cell mass of 3 +/- 2.6 lb (p < 0.05), and a mean increase in fat of 1.2 +/- 4.6 lb (NS). CONCLUSIONS: Oxandrolone is an effective adjunct to facilitate weight restoration in patients with COPD-associated weight loss. Weight gain is primarily lean body mass. Oxandrolone was relatively well tolerated and, therefore, should be a consideration in the comprehensive management of patients with COPD and weight loss.
