This is just stupid, most civilized people that i know of, both in the US, in Europe and the rest of the world agrees that hothead idiots should't carry guns around.

    1. They create far more danger than the criminals they are so afraid of, ask anyone with the slightest idea of using guns about how to act if smeone is poiting a gun at you, starting to fiddle with your hidden gun...? NO! that is a NO NO NO NO! but redneckers that think that they are James Bond/John Wayne have this tendency to think that they are capable to gunfight with the rest of the world.. get real, YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE! So the thing about defence goes away, gunfreaks on the streets is a danger, not a defence.

    2. Guns at home.. if you are to use a gun when someone comes running in to your bedroom, you have to have the gun lyin on your desk, loaded and with the security off, to have the slightest chance to reach it and fire in time, and even then you won't really have a chance. So what you end up with is a child-trap that your kids will find and use to kill eachothers.

    3. Mentality.. Is rednecked racist those i want to trust guns...? at all..? NO! Hell no! People that THINK they know what is to know about weapons and the use of them, but in reality they don't know shit about the things that matters. Learning to pull a trigger is very simple, a chimp can do so (as the lot of you prove...).. Learning your own limits.. learn respect for life.. be wise.. that all cannot do, obviously!

Guns are never the answer, just as war is never the answer.. it is just a root to more problems! Ofcourse, people capable to use guns in a controlled fashion is welcome for me.. but rednecked idiots that thinks that targetpractice = gunfights on the street.. NO! Fat, JohnDearCap-wearing gunfreaks that think of jews/zionism, catholics and other mionorities as the great problem of society.. go find a tree, play with it.. do something else.. I think attitudes are much more important than the ability to pull the trigger.. racists shouldn't be allowed to have more legal weapons than the keyboard they use to write hatefull and factless stories... I guess the little friend above here is a member at: www.madogre.com this is the kind of people i _never_ would have given guns..

well, now the rightwing bunch look at me as a lefty.. communist.. go ahead.. I'm used to it!

No good points whatsoever. Of course liberals dont use any factual evidence at all, just every cliche and same old commie retoric in the book.

I do agree that guns give people a false sense of security. The probability that a burglar coming into your house while you or your family is home is extremely low. I have no problem with people having guns for defense as long as they have the proper safety precautions.

Unfortunately, many home owners don't use any safes or trigger locks. Instead of protecting their family, the gun becomes a danger to the household. Every year in Seattle area there's about 2 children who die from playing with guns. Deaths like these are completely preventable if parents only the parents would have properly secured the weapon.

Cain, your post just made you look like the topic of your post "Stupid"

Am I to assume :that because I am from Texas, born in Texas, live in Texas, will die in Texas, have 2 horses, 2 dogs, drive a big truck, own several guns, and carry a gun, a person who respects and loves all until they disrespect me like you have: that I AM A REDNECK by your standards? No I think not. I am a law abiding citizen who is educated, can think straight, and does not have his head up his ass like you. Watch your words carefully. You piss off those(like myself) who have served this country to protect your right of freedom of speech.

Wake up, its LIBERALS like you, yes you, that are causing this country to fall apart, cause truly stupendous law suits to go through the court systems, and enact truly stupendous laws to become in effect.

OH, Cain, think about this you Liberal moronic ascinine idiot with the I.Q. of a 6 yr. old. How many criminals are law abiding citizens? NONE, thats right, NONE.. HMMMMMMMM, imagine that.
Try attacking the criminals for their wrong doings, Turds (criminals)
have more rights than law abiding citizens because of jackasses like you.

I carry a gun because the law here says I can. Like I said, I have 2 horses, one of which is worth approximately $45K. Do you think I am going to travel with my horse and not be able to protect a piece of property like that? I think not... lol

I don't know if you are old enough or not but, do you remember hearing about the idiot who drove his truck through the wall of the Luby's Cafeteria in Kileen, TX and killed several people with 2 pistols before the police got there and were able to diffuse the situation?

Shortly after that horrific incident, the CHL law was passed.

If the citizens in that cafeteria we able to legally carry guns at that time, it A. never would have happened or B. there would have been fewer deaths and injuries (which is more likely the case.) It is a deterance factor. Serious crimes have gone down appreciatively since the CHL (concealed handgun license) law went into effect. It put many of the turds into check, made them think twice about who they are going rob, snatch purses from, hold at gun point, simply because they do no know if the proposed victim has a gun or not.

                          still stupid..

Well, this is just a perfect example of what i mean... This man, with no clue what so ever about what to do in a gunfight..
driving around with his gun, ready to shoot everybody looking dangerous, and with a great hate to everyone that he thinks is l
iberal! THIS is the danger in society. Where i live, we have 40 murders pr year, that is 40 murders pr 4 000 000 citizens pr year..
how is it in Texas you "law abiding citzen"? I don't know where people get the idea that they are capable of 'defending' anyone with their gun.
I wouldn't trust many people to do so, and those i trust, have trained for years and years.. and no, being at a shootingrange and firing at objects
that don't mov is NOT a valid replacement.. it is not in any way a preparation for real life situations.. That is like training for a streetfight this way:
"i go to the club, punch 10 punches, quite slowly at the bag, then i drink some coffe with the other guys, then i punch maybe 30 slow punches, then i go home"
who of you would think that such a person could defend him/herself in a dangerous situation? not many of you.. but why do you think it is this way when
it comes to guns? you rant on about how important it is with realistic training in martial arts, but guns? neh, let us go around and think that we all
are John Wayne.. And when you look at the guns mostly sold in the US that impression only grows.. .44mag and .357mag was the two most sold guns the last
time i checked.. that just proves my point. Try to fire 3-4 shots with max accurancy in a stressed situation.. fast.. you can't! the recoil is to great! If you said that you liked
the new H&K with grip-safety and improved magazine, i would almost think that you were smart.. or a beretta, 9mm.. but noooo.. these cowboys mostly state that
"9mm? girl-gun! bawhahaha.." and well, moonshine and texas, here we come! maximum 1% of the people i can think of is qualified to carry a gun around.. 100% of those are in military special forces! they know how to use a gun, in _stressed_ situations.. and they don't kill 10 civilianz while tring to act like john wayne.. i don't preach against guns as they are, i have 2 guns myself, for huntingpurposes.. but going out with guns..? never... it is dangerous, creates more trouble than it ever could fix.. and it shows a mentality far out of bounds for a civilized society.

I'd like to see where you get your info from. Most people that I know of carry a higher capacity handgun, like a 9mm, 40 S&W (myself) .45 ACP etc.

The Law here in Texas is quite strict on who can and can not carry a weapon, and you have to take classes and instruction, pass a live fire test that simulates what you might encounter in the public. Yes the average person who carries is not an expert with their gun, but then most peace officers arent experts either.

According to the FBI, most shooting encounters happen between 7-21 feet, yes feet, not yards and 2 (possibly 3) shots out of 10 will actually hit the intended target. That is in Law Enforcement shooting incidents.

If you want to carry on with your idea that someone who carries a gun needs to be an expert, then try this, if you are not a blackbelt or recognized EXPERT in your form of martial arts, you can't you use it to defend yourself. Thats saying the same thing, just with a different weapon platform. Have a good day, good game.

Your safety and the safety of your family can never be guaranteed by the government or the police. I take personal responsibility for mine and my families safety. That is all a gun is, a piece of safety equipment. I also carry one everywhere i go. Reason being, its my God givin right to do it, and my constitution protects my right to do it. If that scares you, then move to a Socialist/Communist country and you will fit in just fine.
Have a nice day P.S. I think you are right on Tory! good to see another gunowner in here!
