Na, my family is just fine. Thanks for your consern though. I must have hit the nail on the head though with the Ryta thing since you are trying to attack my family now. Don't worry though it doesn't bother me to see you

I would like to refer everone to the first answer i gave
I havent done BJJ but im quite good at Muay Thai.
"This is my opinion and i only know half the story but for what its worth:
I would use the Thai stuff as stand up of course but in the clinch i would use my knowledge of BJJ to STOP me from being taken o the ground and try and use all the nasty Thai stuff standing up in the clinhc.
If the fight went to the ground then i would use my BJJ knowlegde which should alow me to win.
The whole aim would be to stay standing cos i dont want to role around on the floor unless i have too.
Your in a good position as you are doing the two best systems for self defence in the world, wish i could get myself to a BJJ school."
O that's funny get me to call a truce so you can jump in there and insult me about an art that I don't even take anymore. I told you already that I do BJJ and MT now.

Big cat - to bridge the gap (against a taller fighter) you need good timing and foot work. Slip outside his straights and hit the body; or if you prefer to grapple get the clinch and work a sweep. Check your PMs - you would have found my answer there.
If you can get ahold of a Tyson fights during his prime in the 80s, he demonstrates superior defense against taller fighters; he is 5'10" 3/4 and 225 - short for a heavyweight. Most of his opponents are 6'1" and taller if not heavier. He glides right by their punches, gets inside and unloads to the body and head. Plus his combos were unorthodox - combos that most people are not used to seeing.
i.e. r hook to body, r uppercut to chest, l hook to head and r cross to chin. He executed combos like this so fast, they didn't know where the hell he was coming from.
BJJ you are on the ground and MT you are standing.......what is so difficult? Decide where you want to be in the situation, whether you feel more comfortable grappling or fighting standing up. I have always prefered standing because everything I took before BJJ was standing and I am a pretty big guy so I feel more comfortable standing than laying on my back. The only times I really try to bring a fight to the ground is when the guy I'm up against can fight better than me standing.
