ha, I just got that response!

It is very confusing, you and Ronin cleared alot of confusion for me. Not in general knowledge. but how to percive the bible. You know its really hard on your faith when you are studying science and andro. at school. I remember reading an article trying to prove the 3 different theories on evolution.
    1. Creationism was horrible, the theories they had, ugh they were trying to be all scientific and stuff. Even had arguements on Noah's ark.

They stated that theclimate back then was more uniform and that a canopy of water vapor 1-3 km thick allowed increased carbon dioxide which in turn let people live longer. Up to 930 years. Like Noah. They also stated that during the flood, the animals went through a hibernation state.

Now is that a turnoff for arguements for christians or what?? I mean the arguements they give are baffling and unconstructive.

And people wonder why christians get dubious judgements. Its because of people trying to argue a higher state with science that fails on one vital thing. FAITH.

Anywayz, thanks for taking the time to explaining all this to me. I guess this is where the courses you took in college come in handy huh? Well that was inspiring and I think I want to take a religious course. Thinking in this manner is so unique, its a combination of faith and science with historical proof. Thanks man! I guess Philosophy IS going to be one of my courses, it sounds very interesting.

Religion is about Faith. That's what it is...Love and Faith. Look at ideals like bushido...chivalry..same thing in my opinion. It's a standard that you live by. Makes you a contemplative person.

Those confusing questions are just the beginning! You wouldn't believe how hard they will become. Trust me

But it's good. This is what it's about. Don't take the bible too literally...it will ruin it.
Science and religion can fit together almost smoothly. All it takes is a more probing mind then others. St. Thomas Aquinas was found of this kind of thing. He's a good read if you ever get the chance

          Hell yeah, buddy!
I'm glad to hear it. Just keep in mind, that philo will really throw these questions at you hard!

But it's all worth it. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

and no need for thanks, I love talking about this stuff anyway.
          Take care

                  CC,
Like I said, I don't mean to be rude. But your argument had no bearing on what was being said. Sorry you feel offended.

"No matter who you ask, they will tell you with absolute certainty that, through years of religious study, they have figured out the most reasonable way to believe (i.e. faith, persistence, interpretations, etc.).....and they make sense in their own minute way.......however. You are all full of sh*t. Anything on a spiritual level simply does not exist. Your pathetic brains just convince you otherwise."

                      True Technique:

It is good that we have people like you, Colonie Crusher, and of course, Pit Dog/Joe Manco, to set us straight on what is the nature of reality.

Thank you for bestowing your boundless wisdom upon our unworthy heads.

                      I bow humbly to you.

                        LMAO!

Haven't seen you here in a while!
Your rebuttle is far too learned to argue with. I have met my match! My favorite part was when you lead up to the climax but have no material to back it up with at all besides your own opinion! LOL!

                        Pseudo-intellectuals bore me...

NO ONE on here has a life.

Why else would we be here, talking to a bunch of guys who like to roll around with other guys?

                                Hmmmmmmm...don't answer that.
