I challange you to come train under my head instructor....... He made a eight year old do 100 push ups cuzz he said don't kick and he did it again.

Whoa, I stopped some kid the other day on the street,
          SAME THING.
I made the kid do 100 push ups for not saying:
"Hello master. How may I serve you today?"
Teach that kid to exist in my world.

He's lucky there weren't any animals around. I would have beat him with in an inch of his life with a squirrel or a chihuahua.

I don't mean to pick on you, but..........I mean read the quote......
I dare you not to smile, I can't stop. I am alone right now and laughing.....that is good stuff....I can't make up stuff like that....

          All in fun.

Ok this is going on a bit.

Im going to hit refresh on this topic of TKD.

            Acitic this is for you.

I dont want you to get the feeling that ewveryone is picking on you as i imagine it feels like that.

You actually seem like a nice guy.

The point is we have all been where you are and been through this process of waking up to reality.

I started doing Karate when i was young, left and then joined another Karate club when i was in my mid teens.

I thought it was the real deal.

Now, one day i was searching throught the net looking at other martial arts and suddenly realised how many others there were.

What i did then was i went to a fedw classes of just about any art you can think of. I covered the whole of London.

This took me the best part of a year spending a week or two at a different style.

Then one day i walked into a MT gym. My life changed.
I was amazed by the speed and power and the amount of hard sparring.

I stayed at Karate and did MT both together.

Eventually the Karate club worked out i was doing something else because my style was changing.

Once every couple of months the Karate cllub would spend a lesson doing freestyle sparring at about %50 power.

You got to fight everyone in the club and everyone watched, really intimidating at the time.

I had been at MT for 2 months.

            I beat the whole class.
            Easily.
I beat a guy who had been a black belt for 9 years.

The club had national champion, i beat him.
Big fish in a small pond.
            I left the club.

I have studied other things along with MT but i find it to be the best stand up.

The point of all this is that im trying to explain to you that its not us thats missing the point here. It is you. You need to look more closely at what you do and try some other things out. Almost everyone on here has their story of coming from a Karate style system and then moving on.

Anyone else like to contribute a similar story of how they moved on from their first style?

Take a deep breath Acitic and have a think. If you still disagreee thats fine. Just be open to the idea.

Pretty much the same thing here. I started off doing Aikido and then joined Shorin-ryu later. I did both of those for a long time and then met a guy that did MT and started training with him. I eventually quit and for a long time I went around from class to class trying to find something that was useful and I tried everything. I did this for several years and went in and out of classes destroying people left and right. Finally I came across an old freind that told me about a BJJ class so I decided to give it a try.

Every other class I had been to I could pretty easily take out anyone in the class and all of a sudden I was being torn apart. I was totally amazed at what I was seeing and that is why I joined BJJ and still do it today.

I have seen black belts from all different martial arts come in our class and challenge BJJ or MT and all have been returned failed. The only time that we have had a real challenge is when we have had other BJJ schools to come down.

Sorry kid, the fact of the matter is that most of us are older and have all been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. TKD is not the best out there and it is not even close, if you think it is you either need a phsyciatrist or a reality check. Just go around and check out some other schools like MT or BJJ and see what you think. I am sure that you will find they can easily dismantle anyone in your class.

And as far as the fighting thing.........lol.......you are right TKD whatever you want to call it is not fighting. I don't know what you call it.......I think it's closer to patty cakes than fighting. Tag would probably be appropriate. LOL.

So you are saying that the guy was disqualified but you kept going? And then you got disqualified? Come on now that is just weak. I bleed like every week in BJJ and you are gonna come in here with some pansy stuff like "O wow I bleed one time when my sparring partner accidently stuck his c@#k up my nose!!". LOL. You are funny.

If a bloody nose is bad then I don't know what you would say about regularly sprained ankles, dislocated joints, broken bone, etc....TKD is not the toughest thing out there and don't try to play it off as tougher than what it is.

<~~~~~~Hey, look it's Acitic after taking a cock chop to the nose.......LOL.....you are funny!!!

Yeah man come to my MT gym bloody nose means sh!t. Sparing always produces bloody noses and it continues, people get their nose broken, they continue, i had my ribs broken, fell to the floor screaming and continued(even if it was one of the hardest things ive done in my life) thats the point, so screw your nose bleed.

You need to train like a monster to be one.

So I guess that must be fun everyone kicking everyone else in the nuts and kicking each other in the head full force. I would knock them down and then just start whaling on them on the ground..........I mean being that you can't get disqualified and all
