Hey Cake Girl, that's awesome that you got to train with Ryron.

I haven't trained with him, when I was at Torrance, he was just a small kid, running around, having fun.

but I have friends that train with both brothers and tell me they are both great instructors.
As competitors, I think Ryron and Renner are unbelievable.
They carry one the family name through Jiu Jitsu with pride.

One interesting thing in it is the "fast takedown". Important if you fight against kickboxers.
What is the "fast takedown" and how do you do it?

I meant the ability to take anyone down as fast as possible to continue the fight on the ground. I've lost control of the board cuz I was a few days absent; there was a good comment on this topic here but I forgot where to find it now and who did it.
Main point is: Gracie fakes an attack with the knee up and fast movement forward. The opponent reacts instinctive with defense and Gracie jumps to his feet and makes him fall down. A main beginning in Gracie JJ.

That's just different ways we spell it in the west, in Japan both are written the same so to differentiate between jujutsu and jiu jitsu is nonsense
