Go and see a chiropractor, he/she will be able to help you/fix you up.
Chiro doctors are the best friends of anyone doing Muay Thai, since it trashes our bodies so much.
I've tooled myself quite a few times doing Muay Thai and my chiropractor has put me back together everytime.

I think i did something similar awhile ago, i was trying some pushkicks on a wall just for the heck of it, and after it seemed like my hip/waist area hurt for a week after that, but it went away and haven't had any problems since...

        Fighting in thailand

Hey Anucha (i think your name was?)
I lived in thailand for 4 months this year and I fought one of your guys from lanna muay thai gym. It was a wicked fight. I won after it went to the judges, ouch we both took a beating! He was really good. That was nothing though to the thai guy I fought at chewang stadium. I beat the thai guy in round 2 with elbows but he kicked me so hard (of course the one kick I couldn't block quick enough) that my disc (lower back) shattered and the pieces went into my siatica nerve and 3 days later I couldn't feel my right leg, right leg or foot... at all ! Ouch, that hurt . At least I can still do muay thai, slowly but surely. It was the best experience of my life training there on Ko samui. I'm gonna move back for a couple of years to train and fight some more. One of my good friends at my camp (WMC muay thai camp) who is kicking ass right now! his name is Alex Dally.

THE ONE THING THAT I WANT TO ADD, WHICH APPLIES TO ALL MUAY THAI FIGHTERS... IS THAT A TRUE MUAY THAI FIGHTER DOESN'T SHOOT HIS MOUTH OFF ABOUT BEING TOUGH OR DISSING PEOPLE. A TRUE THAI BOXER WHO HAS TRAINED "REAL" MUAY THAI IN THAILAND IS HUMBLE AND RESPECTFULL... MOSTLY BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE CAN TEAR ANYONE APART WHO DARES STAND WITH HIM. THEREFORE SOMEONE WHO'S MACHO MACHO AND EGOTISTICAL TALKING SHIT AND WHATNOT IS A NORTH AMERICAN THAI BOXER, NOT THE REAL DEAL AT ALL.
STAY RESPECTFULL, OPEN-MINDED AND HUMBLE... THEN GET IN THE RING AND KICK ASS! LOL OH YA, AND BRING AN ICE PACK OR TWO! HAHAHAHAH

        Take it easy guys!

            But...???

Cool, But there's no camp named "lamai muay thai" unless its tha brand new one one the side of the road near chewang. There's WMC there's the international muay thai gym (aka) sarkong or krapapong somethin like that, its right beside the muay thai shop (kb1 or somethin like that ) at the turnoff to chewang. Where is the "lamai" muay thai located? maybe you've got it mixed up as many locals refer to the WMC camp as Lamai gym.
Are you there in thailand now, you lucky bastard!!!???

Hey Dannyboy, I like your advice. Most people whom have trained in east or SE asia tend to be more humble in general, perhaps a cultural thing. They seem more likely to walk away from a fight then to start one. Never really thought about it, but I think you're right.

I have a problem like that when doing a thai kick to a punching bag. When I kick a punching bag the back of my heel hurts for some reason, I have a ankle brace I picked up from kmart, and wearing that it doesnt hurt. But without it, the back of my heel hurts.

Just to clarify Iam kicking with my shin and not my foot.

i had a similar experience as you. The way it happened to me was that when i was doing kicks i was just throwing my foot like a stick. So my ankle woulld always be loose and shake once i hit my target. Later i found out that i should stiffen my entire leg and my back before the impact so i wouldn't have this lashback in my foot. Maybe thats what you are doing . Hope this helps.

Ya Dimz that is good avice.

Dangerous: Ya Lamai Muay Thai is the WMC camp, it's in Lamai so many people refer to it as Lamai Muay Thai. I'm still shocked that a camp for farangs is my favorite, I learn the most when I go to that camp. The only thing better is when I train with pro fighters privately. But for camps it's my favorite.

Yes you can envy and be jealous of me because I live in Thailand now, as of 4 months ago. I love my life. heh

                        Damian... YOU LUCKY GUY YOU!!!

                        Hey Damian..

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER..AND I MEAN EVER... I MUST SAY... I'M SO JEALOUS !!!!

I'm trying to wrap up my business here by sept and then I'll be moving to Lamai for approx 1 year. If worst comes to worse (I get the winters off work) I'll go live there for 4 months minimum. Stake out a place and move back for good asap (stay least 1 year, maybe 2).

I know what you mean about WMC being a farang gym, but its all in how you take it ya know.? I laughed at the macho macho guys that would show up for 2 weeks and be all "gymed out" and "super ripped" and just let them do their thing! Once I stopped judging them (which is what we do here in north america wayyy to much) most of em' ended up being pretty cool. Plus the beatings they took from thai's half their size grounded them real quick !

I was lucky when I was training there Pai deng, Bok and good ol' Spicy befriended me, probably cause I did some sweet "david blaine magic" shit that blew them away! hahahe

Anyways they trained me real hard and I did tonnes of private lessons (I dropped almost 30 pounds). Also I played soccer for like 11 years so I had the leg kicks down reeeeaal good. Plus I trained here in Vancouver for like 3 months at Golden Lion gym before going to Thailand. I find if they see something in you AKA heart, power, toughness, whatever it may be, they really spend more time with you. Its too bad to see the students that show up there with no experience at all because they really don't get much attention or help. I think (and their right) that the trainers figure they suck and they will be gone in a few weeks anyways, why bother? ya know?

Anyways... I fell in love there too, hardcore, with this thai girl. Thai girls are FUCKING AMAZING... OH MY GOD!!!!!!! what a life !!!!...
I'm counting down the days till get to move back to LAmai and live again at WMC camp and kick some butt, drink some singha, and get some sweeeet thai girl action !!! bring it on!

you lucky dog you !!! lol

see ya guys.. and remember... YOU'VE GOT TO DO IT BY YOURSELF, BUT YOU CAN'T DO IT ALONE !

Heh careful with the Thai girls! You won't know what I mean until you get burned or heart broken. Try not to fall in love!

Ya Lamai Muay Thai has 2 groups it seems, the fighters group for skilled guys that do most of their training in the ring ( I really like the training we do there, very good for developing fight skills) and the begginers group that basically does a western Muay Thai class where they partner up and do drills on pads. Glad I'm not a begginer!

You will have to keep in touch and let me know when you come back. I am trying to go to Koh Samui occasionally, I might go next week for Songkram.
