It will probably be just fine. I broke mine and had to have it put back in place. It took a few weeks after I got the cast off before I got all the movement back, minus 10 degrees since the bone is not perfectly straight. It took a little while for the pain to go away from hitting things but With in 2 months I was able to hit just like always.

I broke my 5th metacarpal, and it was about 3 months before I was totally healed. It probably would have healed faster, but I kept training, and even reinjured my hand punching the bag (cracked the calous back open).

The bone SHOULD heal stronger than before, but as previously mentioned, it may be at the expense of your range of motion. I was lucky in that the bone did not break all the way through. It only broke about 1/2 way through...

i know i said before it was the 4th but i believe its the 5th its the bone that leads to my pinkie finger, they said the bone was bent. what do you mean it might affect my range of motion?

Your range of motion may be affected because you will not be able to move your pinkey properly for awhile, which may lead to the muscle tightening up and affecting your range of motion. I should have also stated that I don't believe there's any real risk of the decrease in the range of motion being permanent. Just a temporary setback.....
