Is that LadyBoy fighter in Thailand people talk about? I thought he already had the sex change? Or is this someone else?
Nong Toom is now Parinya Charoenphol and yes it's probably the one Thai people are talking about. It has all the info on there website. You should check it out!
Yes this is the story of the famous lady boy boxer, for some reason they re-relased it in theaters here in Thailand.... I think it's the direcors cut or something. I met the main actor who plays Nong Toom at my friends birthday party, he's a nice little dude, and good at muay thai.
Hempy and thaibxr, don't laugh, she would definately have kicked your ass if you got in the ring with her... uh him... uh whatever.
Hi Dave, ya he's a good guy. I offered to train him in TKD at my school since he's in movies now, they made him throw a spinning hook kick on this dude I know (random foreign bad guy) for the movie and it was god awful.... figured I'd help him out since if he's going to continue with action roles it would broaden his screen skills and make him look better.
I used to play football/soccer with Seemok on Sundays when he would come home during filming.
I'm not quite sure when we'll be back. April is definately a possibility, as for our friend is getting married. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how I can get a semester of graduate work done at Chiang Mai University. preferably in sustainable development. We'll see how that goes. Other than that, things are pretty normal here.
Your adventures sound adventerous! I hope the schools are all going well, and that you're keeping safe with your ear to the ground http://forum.thaivisa.com/.
I could be back as soon as January, so I'll be expecting some tastey meals in Bangkok!
That's kool, hope you come back soon. My school is slowly growing steadily, it's summer holidays for Japanese and International students so it's a slow time for teaching TKD, September things will pick up. I assume that thaivisa.com thing is for people working illegally? Dont worry about me man, I have a work permit and year visa, I'm all set up.
Other than my schools I've been assisting teaching the Thai police and soon hopefully the thai military (was supposed to start this week but it didnt happen). I'm also playing a portugese soldier in a thai movie this week, should be fun. Been training less muay thai lately and alot of Shaolin Karate. The classes are like a cross between MMA and shaolin log balancing.... it's the most fun I've ever had in martial arts. If I figure out how to post pics again I'll show you my mad kung fu skillz.
