    to Billy boy

When Floyd Sr. repeatedly tries to coerce me back to boxing there may be some truth to it.

I can tell that you are more of a fan than a fighter so I'll try to bring this to your level of understanding. In order for a fighter to be successful he must have a passion for the sport. It may be referred to as "hunger". Hunger doesn't just refer to money or stature. It refers to having an insatiable appetite for the sport. A fighter NEEDS this. I myself have no "hunger" for the so called "sweet science". I find it less sweet and more bland.

      real life jackass

cope yeah i'm a fan, in fact i'm a HUGE boxin fan, but i am a fighter too! i might even be a "thaiboxer" then again i might not be! point is i don't come on these forums under my own name because i am a FAN and i like to interact as such, not like alot of you other so called fighters who throw their "names" around. then again i just might be full of shit! but,.. you came off like a jack ass on the show, and now just by these few post's of yours you lived up to your on screen persona! my bro floyd's yankin your chain and you know it! he thinks he's gonna turn muay thai running man dewey into a world champ truth is if you had any kind of talent for boxing you would take floyd up on his offer and make some real $! because as a kickboxer you know you have never made over 5000 IF THAT for any one fight. shit, you can make more than that workin as a sparring partner in one of floyds camps. you boxed like an open class amature when frannie knocked you out in 2000 and you knew right then and there that you couldn't cut it in boxing! JUST FOR ONCE I'D LIKE TO HEAR A KICKBOXER SAY HEY I GAVE BOXING A SHOT AND COULDN'T CUT IT SO I WENT ON BACK TO MY FIRST SPORT, you couldn't punch then and judging from the footage of you on the heavybag on the mtv gig you still can't punch!, just cuz you knocked some little thai dude out that you had AT LEAST 20 lbs on don't mean shit! someone needs to stop glandville from feedin you roids so your cockey ass can have a reality check! for real...

don't know about Kit but I'm a thaiboxer wi 7 amateur and 2 'pro' fights under me name .

I sparred boxing with a local amateur boxer and got my ass handed to me everywhich way. Added kicks and knees and surpise surprise the tables turned. Just waht ya train for isn't it?

The main problem is I throw a left right then stop cos Im gonna kick....he just punched and punched and punched......made me wanna learn to box proper tho, even though Muay Thai is my first love. soon as i manage a win at 'pro'level I will too, just one or two am bouts would do me, to say I can/have

Aww, somebody got his feelings hurt

Sounds like the old "truth hurts" addage. It's okay to be a fan and not a fighter, man. We are who we are and some of us were born doers and some watchers.
You repeatedly show me, by your talk about me punching, my purses, my "steroid abuse" that you really do know nothing of my sport. Yes, MY sport. Once again I say that because I own it. Many of you wannabees have come to take it from me, but you all have failed miserably. So, until I am beaten, it will continue to be mine. There's the reality check lil Billy.
The little Thai dude, by the way, had me by half a Kilo and over 50 fights. Just another testament to the fact that you are talking out of your ass. But hey, if you can't fight in the ring, why not here as a computer tough guy?

Kit man, don't take the Internet too seriously. You're a good Muay Thai fighter and that's that. There's no need to argue with every single Critic online. Otherwise you'll be spending precious time arguing with a bunch of letters instead of doing something real important .

                kit's wounded

"truth hurts" just by you saying that speaks volumes about how my post resinated in your little mind! truth hurts that you've never made over a four figure purse, truth hurts that you failed miserably in boxing, truth hurts that you came up on hear and said that you were ko'd by a guy who had 13 more fights then you when it was a 30 year old making his pro debut against a self proclaimed world class kickboxer! excuses excuses, and truth hurts that you got called out on it as far as you "owning" your division well now thats a feat! does anyone even compete in that weight class anymore? face it if your not a k-1 HEAVYWEIGHT your not really doing shit in the sport. but i'm sure tommy and you are working on putting some more "quality" weight on so you can get in there though! never mind the thinning hair you both are suffering from due to your "supplement"(roid) regimen yeah kit the truth sure DOES hurt.

                  Good call Rudolphuss

Those in the fight game know exactly who I am and what I can do. Arguing with a peon is hardly worth my invaluable time. On a side note to lil billy though: my gorgeous physique comes not from anabolics, but from the degree that I have in Exercise Physiology with emphasis in Human Sports Performance.

Hey Bro...I'm glad to see you here. I have been away from the board for quite a while, I was a guest of the State of California...so to speak. Anyways, I saw you theep the shit out of Alex Gong and it was really impressive. I think you are the real deal no matter what some of these guys say or think. Having said that, what are your future plans in the ring?

                        Mr. Cope,
I saw you fight about two years ago in September...I highly doubt that you'd remember me, but I was about 16 then, and wasn't fighting that night, with Sakasem's camp out of Salt Lake, and before the fights you and Anthony Brown came up and started talking to me and one of my trainers and his girlfriend. I remember you being very kind and even saying that I looked like I'd make a good fighter if I stuck with it. By the time your fight came up (somebody from Fairtex San Fransisco) and our camp's guy came around to fighting Mr. Brown, I found it almost impossible not to cheer for the two polite gentlemen who had introduced themselves to me before the fight, despite being of an "opposing camp". Your fights were spectacular!
I'm sorry for being so long winded...but I just came across this post and saw an opportunity to thank you and Anthony for showing me what a fighter should be when he's out of the ring, and for rekindling my faith and ambition in the fight game.
                        Thank You.

                          lol

Those fights at the Thailand and Miyanmar border? Those guys are nothing but street kids with some experience in the ring. And when I say some, i mean very few like 1 or 2 fights. Their records are mostly made up. They get paid about 200 baths per fight. That's FIVE U.S. dollars! They're peasants with no education and would do anything for money.

If you really want to fight, go to a reputable event. Better yet, if you think you're ready, go to Lumphinee or Rachadamnern. You 'might' get real fights there.

Anyway, Thai boxing has become about gambling and been going down hill. Have you ever seen matches where these gamblers throw bottles and ice at the ref/fights during or after the fights? They rule the place and their present alone can and greatly influent the outcome of any fights they wish.

Thai boxing isn't like the way it used to be ten or so years ago. A lot of fights are fixed. And when they are not, they don't fight like they used to. Why? Because of gready promoters and trainers! I mean, why fight when you don't get pay what you're worth? I can completely understand their plight. I stopped watching Thai boxing a long time ago because I refuse to support these greedy people who take advantages of boxers.

If you understand my culture and custom then you'll know that these fighters have no saying in anything. Nothing. As tough as they are in the ring, but back at the camp, that's a different story. They often get their asses kicked (severely) by their trainers or the ower themselves. Many ran away but ended up back at the camp then guess what happenned? A big part of our culture is having respect. And this is where the promoters/owners/trainers take advantage of them. It usually goes like this, "remember who took you in from the streets! without me/us (promoters/owners/trainers) you'll be nothing!" Then a smack upside the head. Only one if he's lucky. But usually, a smack is followed by a punch to the face.

Nothing breaks your heart more than seeing these guy just sat there with their heads down (some crying), and taking verbal and physical beatings in a locked office after a fight. Why? Well, how dare they lose that fight?! Oh, and did I mention that these boxers usually starve themselves to make the weight? Because? lemme see, 115 and 118 pound divisions are very popular. Because these guys are fast and furious! So, promoters tend to want to keep them small. The reason you don't see heavier size Thai boxers isn't because there aren't any. it's cuz they're not popular. Gambling is no fun when fighters take forever to throw a kick.

Now do you know why many fights aren't as exciting as they should or could be? Or why some excellent fighter lose to a no name? These guys are hungry and weak!

The biggest promoters? Tongchai! And this asshole is fucking greedy! he ruined many good fighters (both Thai boxers and regular boxers) and he'll eventually ruined Thai boxing.

Sad but true. These fighters fight because they don't have anything else to do. A lot of them ended up street thugs and murderers because they couldn't take the abuse-who could?

P.S. English is my second language but I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey.

                            Hey Naratib

You might be getting a little off the subject, but I feel your pain my friend. Don't you think we have the same sort of problems here in the USA? Greedy promoters, jakass fans, dirty secrets and underhanded bullshit? You ever heard of Don King? How many former prize fighters have brain damage or are otherwise messed up because they held on too long in the hopes of one final "big pay day"? The fight game is crooked and the fighters are usually the real losers both inside and outside the ring. Thailand doesn't have a monopoly on that soet of thing. If you want to be a great fighter, fight your own fights, train hard, speak your mind, don't back down and keep it real. you can hold your head up high with respect and dignity, no matter hoew it plays out. on a more positive note, it was nice to see the Thai boxing team bring home a few medals from Athens...tough dudes and well trained by their Thai and Cuban coaches. Stay amateur...it's better for your health!

i think he was trying to convey that he agreed that cope is a bit of a fraud in the sense that he made it seem like he was a world beater by going into a back woods province in thailand and basically beating an amature who was looking for some quick cash, the guy cope fought looked to be about 40 toddy wasn't going to let one of his boys get beat on mtv believe that! i saw cope when he thought he was going to be the next oscar delahoya when he was impersonating a boxer and doing a piss poor job of it at that!

                                Kit,
I was looking on your website and it shows what you do for your fight training. I was wondering if this program you have listed is what you do everyday, or only for upcoming fight training? If it is only for fight training, what is your routine like inbetween fights? Also, during one part of the show it was said that you guys start to hit the heavy bags without gloves to toughen up your knuckles. What kind of bone conditioning exercises were done for the rest of the bones, like shins, elbows, knees?

                                Thanks!
